Strange or not, I started playing my career on Legendary and it feels better than WC. It should be the other way, but on Leg I feel the game is more like "stop, think, and play". The WC level was starting to be a run fest all the time.Comment

I have no idea why, but this game just started to play so nice last week and it's staying at that level thusfar. I don't even know if EA updated something (Though I remember I had to DL something before I could play FIFA when this started happening) but the whole CPU logic just changed. They play way riskier and more unpredictable. Somehow the game has stopped giving the CPU the ability to make inhumanly quick reactions so it's all a lot more freeflowing. I actually enjoy the game now.
I'm hoping it doesn't change, but you never know. My previous career season also saw the game all of a sudden play awesomely during the 2nd half of the season, only to get back to being frustrating as soon as I started the next one. I'm hoping the gameplay stays the same this time. Otherwise maybe EA does it deliberately to simulate some sort of team chemistry thingy like NBA 2k has.Comment

I played three of my most enjoyable matches last night in my Milan career mode. It gave me that "1 more match" feeling. First was a 0-0 grind-it-out draw away to Lazio. The game was very physical with lots of possession in the middle of the pitch but not too many chances, especially quality ones. The next was a 4-2 thriller with 4 goals coming in a second half that saw some end-to-end counter attack action in full display. The last was a 1-2 win away to Juventus where Pogba was just killing me. He made late runs into the box, shot from distance, and scored on lovely shot where he turned as he shot it and placed it in the top right corner.
Everything about those 3 games felt right to me and screamed Serie A, except for Milan winning. Very unrealistic, lol.Comment

You're killing me with the Milan winning comment. My beloved Milan will eventually get it sorted out. I hope it doesn't take Berlusconi selling, or Galliani leaving as it seems neither of those will ever happen.

Yep, I'm finished with this game. The CPU is flawless while your guys are complete morons when it comes to attacking and defending. Here's to hoping EA actually sticks to the game they release as apposed to ruining it with patches that tailors to arcade type players. Thanks again FUT......Comment

What is with AI attacking. I have for now fixed so the AI shoots more as it would be reluctant to shoot before but I find now they can't goals. It will go wide or hit the post a bunch of times. They do eventually score but this is annoying. Last night on WC level I was Arsenal vs Chelsea. I let Chelsea have as many shots as they could, kept turning over the ball and moving my defenders out of the way. At half time they had had 18 shots, 15 on target and the score....1-0 to them. The keeper is OP in the game but the shots were directly at him a lot of the time anyway.
Another game against Lazio and AC Milan (WC & Pro levels) and they had trouble hitting the goal. Kept going wide or over the bar from inside 18 yard box??
I had the sliders for CPU shooting error down to 10 (and also moved to 50 at times to see the difference. No difference) and GK ability down to 15 and still making bull**** saves.
I know the CPU shooting error only works for normal shots and not finesse shots etc but it's still crap.
How do I fix all this?Comment

Most of this happened after I had tossed my controller aside. I guarantee it would have kept going if I had not closed down at the end lol. CPU actually ended the match with 97% pass accuracy, while rarely attacking, on WC difficulty. So done with this.Comment

These are a few things I've noticed lately:
1. The computer can only seem to score from headers coming wide from way out of the box, or from shots randomly taken from outside the box (often with no space to shoot) that go top corner.
2. As mentioned multiple times, my AI controlled players will not attack, especially if there is a loose ball in the box.
3. My players cannot pass properly 90% of the time in the box.
4. Occasionally, my CB's will decide to join the attack (I have them never joining the attack in the strategy), which has always resulted in a goal.
5. My GK will challenge shots outside the box at poor times (without me controlling him), resulting in an easy shot on goal for the CPU (so far it has always hit the crossbar).
6. Basic throw-ins go in the wrong direction, especially late in games.
7. If a player is offside, I do not automatically want to pass to them.
8. If I score a goal, the CPU will score less than 5 minutes later most of the time. I can't seem to win a game by more than a goal.
9. 50/50 balls go to the CPU in the last 5 minutes of a game, if they are down a goal, and it is impossible to make basic passes in this situation.
10. I should be able to control a player directly behind a CPU player in an attempt to get the ball from them.
11. My defenders should not all float out of the box, allowing the CPU to get an easy shot on goal (which usually goes wide or hits the crossbar).
12. I should not be able to call that the CPU will score 30 seconds before it happens.

I've knocked speed and acceleration down to 49 to try and slow down what has become an arcade game since last patch. I'm only really enjoying this game local multiplayer now. Wish they'd left it as the demo wasComment

I´d be curious to read some opinions on legendary play. I´ve played 3 seasons on WC and suddenly it became really stupid. Changed it to legendary and though it´s not a game changer, some things seem better. I could almost guaranteed CPU fails more passes and shots. I still have the ocasional pass-shoot-goal sequence from CPU, but overall it feels better then WC. I dunno, it just looks crazy somehow.
The time waste tactic in my opinion makes sense, but it´s just not used by the CPU in a realistic way. It just neesd a fine tune from EA. Worst thing is the "you can´t win" script and it looks like WC has became broken on this department. More than legendary, but hey, it´s just my feeling for now.Comment

Folks - I am a strictly offline player and I'm not seeing most of these issues playing on the professional level of difficulty.
I know that isn't an option for most people in this forum, I am actually grateful that I am not that skilled of a gamer.
The reason for my post is to purport the notion that maybe it's not just FUT that is being catered to but the professional level as well.Comment
