World Cup game in 2018?

Been trying to find out if EA is going to make a stand alone World Cup game this year. Anyone know? I'd be disappointed if they decided to table it.

I actually prefer having a standalone game rather than the way they did it with the Euro one several years ago.

It's EA. They will milk it for $60 with a standalone game like they have been doing every 4 years. Lol

So is the 2010 World Cup Game worth getting, I know 2014 is supposed to be bad? On PS3, I got FIFA 11, 13, and PES 2017.

2010 was good for its time and still holds up pretty well. 2014 is basically like FIFA 15 on PS3. Graphics look bad compared to next-gen FIFA 14.

Since it's the 20th Anniversary of FIFA 98 I was hoping one of the game modes in 18 would be Road to World Cup with all 311 (however many) FIFA nations. I'm sure around Christmas time once all 32 nations have qualified they will release a trailer for 2018 World Cup Russia. Hopefully there will be a mix n match option to avoid kit clashes etc. One thing I liked about 2014 World Cup was some nations had their 2014 World Cup kits and qualifying/EURO 2012 kits. Italy had their traditional Blue shirt/white shorts but also a monochrome Blue Kit as did France. Also hopefully there will be three times as many players in each nations squads when editing rosters etc. Majority of players on Team Mexico's pool had already retired from the squad, same as Germany and many of the African nations.

No. They had a standalone world cup game like EA Sports been doing every 4 years. Sorry to let anyone down but EA will not add it in FIFA 18. They've always made their world cup games a standalone. It's obvious they want to milk some money.

I've never played FIFA 15 tbh, I have 11 and 13. I guess 2010 is more arcadey but less broken and more fun than World Cup 2014 if 2014 is modeled after 15?

Sounds like there is nothing new at all in FIFA 18 career mode as Beta is dropping without anything being said about it. So that doesn't bode well for the World Cup game either. It seems all that matters anymore is FUT, a very sad day for this series and the end of my interest in it...

No, they had an update for PS4 and Xbox 1 with some content and released a standalone game on last gen only.

I didn't say this gen had a standalone. I said the standalone game was last gen only and FIFA 14 cg got a content update/dlc for the World Cup.
