I'm assuming EA gave them that budget so people will be more willing to make a career with them and bring them back. Aren't they like 1 star in the game? I don't think 8 mil would be enough to rebuild them, at least not at the first season. And plus, I'm sure you've noticed that the CPU is terrible at transfers. They bulk up on positions they don't need and sell key players without replacing them most of the time so, I wouldn't be too worried about putting them back in the Scottish Premier.

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Finally decided to sign up
I have just started a new career mode with my favourite team, LIVERPOOL
This is my progress so far
Transfers IN:
Eric Dier: £3 million
Luke Shaw: £500k + Jose Enrique
Danny Ings: £3.6 million
Ivan Rakitic: £2 million + Jordan Henderson
Nathaniel Chalobah: £2.6 million
Callum McManaman: £2 million
Alvaro Morata: Loan
Will Hughes: £4 million
Transfers OUT:
Lucas Leiva: £5 million
Brad Jones: £375k
Ali Cissokho: Loan Terminated
Match 1
Liverpool 1-1 Stoke
Sturridge 72
Nzonzi 84
We struggled to break down the tall Stoke defence and struggled to contain Peter Crouch's height up front. Mignolet had an outstanding game saving everything, as did Begovic. We broke the deadlock when Sturridge converted with a right foot half volley across goal. Stoke levelled it though when Aggers clearance bounced of Crouch and fell to Nzonzi who smashed it in.
Match 2
Aston Villa 2-3 Liverpool
Pratto 28
Sterling 45
Sterling 45
Pratto 79
Ings 88
We dominated the game but Pratto got on the end of a cross by Benteke to cheaply give up a goal. We hit back though, with sterling scoring two in stoppage time, the first robbing Guzan and walking it into the net and the second, expertly rounding Guzan to fire in from a tight angle. Unfortunately, a brilliant ball in by El Ahmadi found Pratto to prod in. Late on though, we counter attacked from a corner, Sterling playing Ings through who cut inside and fired it in. Ings was on the pitch because Sturridge broke his rib from a corner, he will be out for 3 months.
More updates coming soon. Next match: MANCHESTER UNITED
Good update but one question... Why terminate a loan? The player can be very useful as a squad player and even if he doesn't play much or at all it's nice to have depth. You didnt pay for him after all the loan was just there when it started but now you paid to get it terminated? Not something I would've done but I am sure you have your reasons

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Hello everyone!
Been reading a lot of threads on OS for a while now and finally decided to sign up. I've been playing FIFA for a few years now and for me career mode has always been the way to go.
I currently have a couple of careers which I've abandoned because of difficulty setting issues. I have no problem if a match is easy, as long as the players are representative of that. So leading the premier league with a Portsmouth side that was only 3 stars was not for me.
I've finally decided I want to have a career with one of those clubs that just focuses on the Champions League, because they dominate their own league, think Shaktar Donesk for example. So I think I'm going with Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership so I can battle to get them to the top, establish their superiority and then go for that treasured European Cup.
Debating dropping Rangers back into the Premiership but am a little put off by their stupid transfer budget, £8,000,000 , which seems odd for a team just out of administration. So let me know your thoughts on that, and who you would replace with Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.
Will update soon!
I suggest replacing Hearts, if you
're going to replicate the real life season (obviously Rangers isn't the one that got promoted)
I did start a career back on FIFA 13 with Rangers, replacing the relegated Dundee, but only played like 5 or 6 matches because of time issuesComment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
I wanted to sign a good, youthful English player in Will Hughes who could act as a future first team player and good squad depth in my team but because of the amount of players Liverpool have out on loan, my squad size was full. Plus I had Luke Shaw and Jon Flanagan as young left backs who play arguably better than Cissokho.
Fair enough but why not release a low rated player in the 50's and use Jon Flanagan as your backup right back?

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
LIVERPOOL CAREER MODE
TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY
Not much happened with just Skrtel leaving to Monaco for £6.5 million. I tried to sign Muriel but he wanted a Squad Role and I just couldn't guarantee a Important First Team Player, especially when Sturridge comes back.
Match 3
Liverpool 2-2 Manchester United
Sterling 11
Rooney 20
Rooney 48
Coutinho 83
It was a great game with Sterling staying strong early on to shrug Godin away and fire in. Rooney levelled it when Agger gave the ball away and it was smashed it. Rooney and RVP then did some brilliant one touch football to rip open my defence and score. Late on though, Ings thread through a ball to Coutinho who prodded in to the near post. Johnson forced a 90th minute save from 30 yards.
Match 4
Swansea 1-1 Liverpool
Shelvey 15
Sterling 39
Shelvey got on the end of a Routledge cross to header home against his former club. Sterling bought a ball over the top by Gerrard down perfectly and rounded Vorm to fire home.
Match 5
Southampton 0-0 Liverpool
One word: boring
League Cup Match 1
Liverpool 2-0 Wolves
Morata 45
Morata 75
I played a weakened side and Morata took Hughes ball and fired in. He then got on the end of a shot by Chalobah that was saved to fire in from the rebound.
Match 6
Sunderland 2-0 Liverpool
Ings 45
Moses 59
Ings ran from his own half on the counter attack before firing it into the roof of the net. He later chipped the ball over the top for Moses to fire in on the volley. Finally another win.
On the whole then, this month hasn't been great but it hasn't been disastrous. We still maintain our unbeaten record, albeit with only 2 wins in six games. Ings has stepped up in Sturridges absence. Shame about Suarez not scoring yet this season. Might be because I'm playing him out on the left wing.
Next Game- CRYSTAL PALACEComment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Match 7
Liverpool 1-0 Crystal Palace
Coutinho 45
Coutinho won the game after beating four or five players with a fantastic dribble before firing in.
Match 8
Newcastle 0-2 Liverpool
Ings 11
Coutinho 51
A ball in by Sterling was headed in by Ings. Another ball in by Suarez was headed in by Coutinho.
Match 9
Liverpool 1-2 West Brom
Gera 21
Duff 75
Chalobah 86
Our unbeaten streak ended. We fielded a weakened side and paid for it. Gera gave them the lead after a defensive error by Zouma. Duff scored from 20 yards when from a throw in we threw it straight at him. A ball in by Moses which was put back in by McManaman found Chalobah who hit it on the volley. Moses hit the post in the 90th minute. We deserved to lose.
League Cup Game 2
Manchester United 1-1 Liverpool (3-4 on pens)
Welbeck 54
Ings 85
A brilliant game. Welbeck gave United the lead with a nice finish and thus began the search for an equaliser. Godin cleared an Ings header and a deflected Sterling shot off the line. Ings then raced clear and rifled home into the top corner. Nothing much happened in extra-time. Aspas missed a penalty for us but Mata and Young missed penalties for United so Sterling stepped up and won it.
Next Game: ARSENAL

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Hey people! How are your saves going?
Finally dropped my United save and started one with Ajax. World Class difficulty.
Currently top of the league, leading by 14 points. Have a second leg quarterfinal with Barcelona (up 3-0 from the first)
Transfers:
Out
Christian Eriksen - $45 million - asked to get transferred, Barcelona paid up for him
Really wanted to keep him and Fischer. And de Jong. But oh well.
In
Zakaria Bakkali - $7 million from PSV
Anthony Martial (Monaco) - $2.1 million
Lewandowski - Free transfer at $330K a week (Will probably sell him and make a profit after a few seasons)
Pierre Emile Hojbjerg - $2 million from Bayern
Paul Pogba - $25 million from Juventus
Net profit: $11.3 million
Well, trying to focus on youth academy and the like, by investing my profit into another good scout. And trying to build for the future. This is the 'playing Football Manager' way:P
Does anyone know any decent CDMs in the game since Poulsen is ageing. Playing a 4-3-3 with a defensive mid and two CMs. Love how Sigthorson and Fischer are playing.
Oh, and I managed to beat Atletico, and Bayern. By some stroke of luck xD
Also, thinking of getting Bojan on a permanent deal from Barca, should I? :O What do you guys think?Comment
