SkyBet League 2 Match:

Exeter City 2 – Dagenham 2

DAG – Murphy (34’)

Abu Ogogo passes to Rhys Murphy who collects the ball on the half-way line. He sprints past Scot Bennett and Pat Baldwin to be one-on-one with Pym. Murphy runs the rest of the pitch and then nudges the ball to the right before hitting it past the goalkeeper. Exeter City have been poor and haven’t had any shots at the moment.

DAG – Baucoud (56’)

A clearance from Scot Bennett is only smashed up into the air. Cummins and Joss Labadie compete for the header and Labadie wins. It’s nodded down to Andre Boucaud who is unmarked and he just strolls into the penalty area and narrowly puts the ball under Pym’s outstretched arm.

EXE –Woodman (67’)

After Dagenham’s second goal, Bee took off Jake Sinclair and Matthew Grimes for Albian Ajeti and Aaron Dawson. Ajeti is on the left and he passes to Woodman who has made a massive run to collect the ball from him. Woodman skips into the penalty area and vaults a challenge from a Dagenham defender before firing into the bottom right corner. Exeter City has a lifeline.

EXE – Gayle (OG) (81’)

Keohane sprints down the wing and turns the Dagenham left-back to give himself some space to cross into the box. Keohane crosses to the back post where Cummins is standing but Ian Gayle leaps into the air to try an intercept and he gets a tiny connection on it which makes it loop over the goalkeeper and into the goal. Unlucky for Dagenham as they were solid and denied Exeter throughout the whole match.

SkyBet League 2 Match:

Wycombe 2 – Exeter City 3

WYC –Craig (21’)

Josh Scowen picks up the ball after Steven Craig is tackled. Scot Bennett finds himself out of position and Scowen flicks the ball up into the air where Craig chests the ball down and smashes past Pym. Once again, Exeter City start awfully...

WYC – Craig (28’)

Craig gets the ball from Scowen on the edge of the box. Craig skips past Pat Baldwin to lift the ball over the goalkeeper and into the top left-hand corner.

EXE – Payne (33’)

Ajeti crosses into the unmarked Sinclair who runs too far and the ball falls behind him. The defender is off balance so Sinclair gets there first to back heel the ball into the run on Tim Payne from the right. Payne smashes the ball into the far corner.

EXE – Ajeti (63’)

Ajeti loses the ball and Wycombe defender, Aaron Amadi-Holloway jogs with the ball and looks to boot the ball up field. Ajeti makes a great recovery run and slides into Holloway and gets the ball. The ball rolls to Jake Flannigan who passes to the free Ajeti who then hits the ball over a sliding Wycombe defender and past the diving goalkeeper and then into the corner. It was a great slide tackle to get the ball back and a really good finish.

EXE – Dawson (76’)

Aaron Dawson gets his first goal! And what a great one too! Grimes tackles a Wycombe defender and the ball rolls to Jake Sinclair who nudges the ball to the left before putting in a great pass behind the defence for Aaron Dawson who was only brought on nine minutes before. The goalkeeper rushes out and Dawson chips the ball over the shoulder of the goalkeeper and the ball bounces over the line. He showed some composure in front of goal there!

Our Best Performer: Jake Sinclair (He did really well this match despite not shooting once. He was dropping in more and passing the ball around and creating attacks. He also was dangerous with his pace and he got two great assists.)

SkyBet League 2 Match:

Exeter City 5 – Cheltenham Town 1

EXE – Flannigan (2’)

Jake Flannigan gets his first goal for Exeter City! Jamie Reid bombs down the left and the suddenly turns inside to deliver a lovely ball into the path of the running Jake Flannigan. The Cheltenham defence try to play the offside trap but it doesn’t work. Flannigan takes it first time with his weaker foot and volleys it passed the goalkeeper for an early lead.

CHE – Harrison (41’)

Terry Gornell runs down the left and has enough room to cross the ball into Byron Harrison who rises above the struggling Scot Bennett and heads to the far corner where it clips the past and goes in.

EXE – Ajeti (52’)

On the right, Tim Payne cuts the ball back to Sinclair who slots the ball into Ajeti who shoots on the half turn and it bullets into the top corner of the near post.

EXE – Sinclair (65’)

Cheltenham defender, Jack Deaman passes back to his goalkeeper, Trevor Carson, who then panics due to the pressure and tries to pass it to another defender. Jake Sinclair intercepts. Carson tries to get into the middle of the goal but Sinclair shoots first time and the ball goes behind the keeper and into the net. The Cheltenham players look dead and buried...

EXE – Sercombe (67’)

Tim Payne takes a corner on the right. It’s whipped into the middle where Liam Sercombe muscles his way to the front on the line and he nods home from around the penalty spot.

EXE – Cummins (86’)

The ball is cleared away and Scot Bennett wins the defensive header and it goes to Grimes. Grimes picks out Cummins who dribbles through three players before slotting the ball past the goalkeeper and into the net. And that brings an end to a very one-sided match.

Our Best Performer: Liam Sercombe (It was a very difficult decision because everyone played so well! But Sercombe worked so hard and he was useful on both ends of the pitch.)

Exeter City Promoted To Football League 1

Exeter City have been promoted to League 1. “We went into this season with the right attitude and all throughout we kept our eyes on the prize,” stated a jubilant Exeter City manager.

Exeter City 1 – Northampton 1

EXE – Ajeti (8’)

Jake Sinclair receives the ball from a clearance in the Exeter half. Jake Sinclair skips past the last defender and drifts to the right where he crosses into the box where Ajeti runs onto the end of it to give Exeter an early lead.

NOR – Nicholls (18’)

A cross in from the left is headed away but the rebound falls to the unmarked Alex Nicholls who nudges the ball to the right before firing home for the equaliser.

NOR – Tozer (RED) (56’)

Albian Ajeti receives the ball and spins around the Northampton defender, Tozer. Tozer tries to recover but can’t so he slide-tackles Ajeti before he can get into the box. The referee decides that he was the last man and he gets a red card.

Our Best Performer: Albian Ajeti (He scored our only goal of the day and he looked extremely difficult to mark.)

SkyBet League 2 Match:

Accrington 2 - Exeter City 2

ACC – Bowerman (18’)

Awful defending by Exeter as they get sucked into the ball and allow Bowerman a free header on the back post. Accrington have only won twice in the league so far.

EXE –Cummins (52’)

Grimes picks out a great through ball behind the defence for Christian Ribeiro to run into the path of it on the right. Ribeiro pulls the ball back to Cummins who hits the ball first time. The ball zips across the ground and into the far corner. The Accrington goalkeeper has been on fire today but he didn’t even move for that.

ACC –Gray (65’)

A clearance from the Accrington half falls to James Beattie who brings the ball down for James Gray who beats Scot Bennett and Jordan Moore-Taylor for pace to then just slot the ball past the goalkeeper and into the net.

EXE – Sinclair (69’)

A throw-in is intercepted by Reid who then squares the ball to Jake Sinclair who spins around the defender before slotting the ball into the far corner. And Sinclair only came on four minutes ago!

Our Best Performer: Matthew Grimes (He set off a lot of the attacks we had and his passing was excellent. Credit to opposing goalkeeper Jay Lynch, who made fourteen saves and a lot of them where great saves too.)

Exeter City’s Player of the Month:

Albian Ajeti

Ajeti has been great this month! He played especially well in the Wycombe game and got a couple of goals and a few assists.

Q: Congratulations on securing automatic promotion in your first ever season as a manager. How does it feel?

A: It’sAmazing! I just can’t wait to see how I fare in League One.

Q: Despite having the biggest win in your managerial career against Cheltenham, your performances have been lacking a little.

A: Yes, it is a little disappointing that we are only performing in the later parts of the game and it’s quite difficult to fix. Hopefully I will be able to eradicate this problem soon though.

Q: What are your plans for next season?

A: I haven’t thought about that yet if I’m honest We still have a bit to go in this league and I don't want the lads to start slacking.

Well guys, it looks like I've lost my Exeter City career.

Whenever I try to load it I get "File damaged", with the only options being delete or cancel.

In semi-good news though, I think I've found a team to start a new career with. This one will be outside of England, but still in lower division. Hoping this will be similar to my Deportivo career that some of the older guys here will remember.

Oh no :O. Just as you got to the Premier League as well. Oh well, it is what it is. I'm gonna tell you this, if this career is nearly as good as Deportivo it will be a absolutely amazing! Deportivo was my favourite career of yours.

@Indi, I'm just gonna comment of the season lol since you're churning out updates faster than I can read them! Congratulations on getting that Europa League spot! It came down to the wire but that makes it all the more exciting the tighter it is. I really hope you can hold onto Gakpe, surely a club will come in with a bid of more than 10 million though? You should have a good shot at winning it if you can do good business in the summer!

@Jagger, Keep it up with Fulham! You'll get them up the table no problem!!

@Chico, Nice choice with Osasuna! Nice to see another Liga Adelante career. I think you'll be well able to get promoted and maybe a cup run as well?

EXE – Ajeti (38’)

Sinclair gets the ball on the half-way line and feeds the ball into Albian Ajeti who skips past a defender’s challenge and runs through on goal. A defender tries to cut Ajeti off but he pretends to shoot but then knocks the ball to the right to give himself some space. Ajeti then hits the ball back across goal and into the bottom left corner.

HAR –James (78’)

Marlon Harewood gets the ball on the right and crosses into the box. No one gets to it until Luke James gathers it at the back post and pokes the ball into the net. Awful goalkeeping by Pym! He just seemed to dive out of the way of the ball...

HAR – Franks (80’)

Moore-Taylor tackles Jonathan Franks on the edge of the penalty area but immediately after Luke James tackles him and James drifts into the penalty area where he shoots. Pym saves it with an outstretched leg but the rebound falls to Franks who just heads the ball over Pym and into the goal. The defending was non-existent for the later part of that goal.

SkyBet League 2 Match:

Exeter City 1 – Stevenage 0

EXE – Grimes (60’)

After losing in their last match, Exeter go in front and stay in front with a Grimes volley from outside the box after a cross is pulled back to him.

Our Best Perfomer: Matthew Grimes (Matthew’s goal was amazing! Apart from that though, no one really stood out.)

SkyBet League 2 Match:

Exeter City 2 – York City 0

EXE – Sinclair (9’)

Sercombe dominates the midfield as he intercepts the ball and goes on the counter attack. He picks out the run of Sinclair who finds himself through on goal. Sinclair chips the ball over the rushing goalkeeper and coolly celebrates in front of the home fans.

EXE –Sinclair (70’)

Sinclair plays a one-two with Grimes and he manages to push past the struggling defenders and he slots the ball past the goalkeeper and into the bottom right corner. Exeter beat the team who first beat them in the league.

Our Best Performer: Jake Sinclair (He scored the two goals and threatened to score a hat-trick.)

EXE –Ajeti (31’)

James Caton gets tackled at the back by Ajeti. He runs at the defence before dropping his shoulder and cutting into the middle where he smashes the ball past the goalkeeper into the top right-hand corner.

SHR – Caton (37’)

James Caton bombs down the left where he cuts the ball back to James Collins who holds the ball up until slotting the ball through the defence and to Caton who hits the ball first time and it curls around Pym and into the top corner.

SHR – Vernon (68’)

Scott Vernon receives the ball from James Wesolowski on the edge of the penalty area. Vernon easily skips past the sliding Bennett and finishes easily.

SHR – PEN (82’)

Woodman slides and catches Scott Vernon on the left. They’re just in the box and Woodman gets away with no card. Vernon steps up for the penalty and he smashes the ball into the air It keeps rising and it’s a howler.

EXE –Ajeti (87’)

Jimmy Keohane comes on in the sixty-sixth minute and he replaces Flannigan. Keohane lifts the ball over the defence to Ajeti who controls the ball and chips the ball over the despairing goalkeeper for a late equaliser.

Our Best Performer: Albian Ajeti (He scored both of the goals and he was our main source of attacks.)

Jake Sinclair

Jake Sinclair has been a great addition to the team after losing Tom Nichols. Jake has got a few crucial goals and assists throughout the month and we would have been a lot worse without him.

Tex, it hurt to read about your Exeter file! That career was going so well, too. I was looking forward to seeing how Wilson did over 38 games in the top flight. What a shame! But there seems to be redemption with the other Exeter career on here.

Keano, thanks for the kind words. Yeah, I know I posted that first season at rapid pace, but I've been down with a torn Achilles, so I'm playing 7-8 hours a day or more. Next season should go slower seeing as how my wife surprised me with Far Cry 4 today.

I just had a WTF moment in the opening days of the transfer window. Borussia Dortmund came in for Cataldi, who is valued at £925k with a £3.2m bid. I countered with £12m for kicks, and they agreed, so I reloaded the file and the same thing happened with Benfica. Holy crap, I have a serious talent on my hands. If he's this valuable at 71 OVR, imagine what I could get for him after two seasons!

Cool man. That's incredible at 71 OVR. I've not seen that much money for someone of such a low overall.

When your done can you tell me what you think of Far Cry 4. It's on my list of games to possibly buy. What console are you on?

Sucks to have that injury. How did it happen? It must be one of the most painful experiences.

Thanks for the support guys, hoping my next career will be one you guys all enjoy.

Like I said, I wanted to get back to the roots like I did with Deportivo and stay out of England this time.

I still wanted to do a lower league with the goal being promotion. The first two I was looking at were Ligue 2, and Liga Adelante. With the recent careers of Indi and Chico though I decided to look elsewhere. I've never had a huge interest in Italy, so that left Germany. Want to try to aim for transfer targets like I did in Deportivo, mainly stick to country of origin, or grab from countries that are near by, or have other similarities such as language or culture. Luckily Germany is rich in talent, and having all of those smaller countries around, ESPECIALLY Belgium and Netherlands will be a huge pool to pick from. I won't limit myself to just those of course, but that will be the focus.

I looked around a bit and found a club with a great, fanatical supporter base, has a good sized stadium, and has some kits that I enjoy. I wont release who I picked just yet though.

I still wanted to do a lower league with the goal being promotion. The first two I was looking at were Ligue 2, and Liga Adelante. I haven't had a chance to get on the forum much today but I just wanted to say that it truly is a shame that your file was corrupted, but I'm really looking forward to the German career! I wanted to see Wilson score on United though, the boy who grew from the very bottom and struck back, but I'm still looking forward to your new adventure and seeing which team you choose to go with.

Jamie I haven't played Far Cry before, any of them, but I strongly recommend you play Shadow of Mordor. Especially since you are a LOTR fan, but I think even non-LOTR fans would enjoy the game. The nemesis system on it is awesome on the PS4!
