    Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

    Boy the CMs have been moving have not been much the last couple of days. Swansea City for me has been battling steady. Moving towards the end of March, but battling with some injuries. We went down to Everton again in Cup play this time losing to them in the FA Cup quarter finals. In league we are second in a three way battle for second. Chelsea is a league leading 68 pts while trail them by 9.

    I have also started a project CM with Leones Negros with just getting players from youth squad. Right I am just in the early stages of this project, I am playing all games and will give updates at major progress in this project. Right now focusing on selling all current players while bringing in youth replacements.

      Great job on earning promotion already. Shouldn't be hard for you to win the league now. Mostly looking forward to how you do in the F.A. Cup at this point!

        Luton Town 2015-16
        Season 2 - League 1
        The final month of the season has arrived. With League won pretty much in the bag for Luton they are turning their focus onto the Capital one Cup. They have been put up against Chelsea and the premier league side seem like they want this just as much as Luton.

        April

        League 1 Game 41
        Leyton Orient 0-4 Luton Town
        Ramsey 11' 47' 55' 90'

        League 1 Game 42
        Luton Town 1-2 Chesterfield
        Morsy 3'
        Parry 5'
        Ariyibi 22'
        (Simmed)

        League 1 Game 43
        Luton Town 5-0 Rotherham
        Graham 43'
        Onishi 71'
        Calcutalua 79'
        Costa 87'
        Azogue 90'

        League 1 Game 44
        Peterborough 0-0 Luton Town

        FA Cup Semi Final
        Chelsea vs Luton Town

        Spoiler

        League 1 Game 45
        Brentford 0-0 Luton Town

        League 1 Game 46
        Luton Town 3-2 Bradford
        Ramsey 10'
        Clarke 40' 49'
        Graham 52' 90'

        League wise it was actually a pretty poor month by dropping way to many points but hopefully the lead we had in the league would of been enough to hold us in 1st. Our cup run was brought to an abrupt end by the Chelsea side who were just another class to us. Diego Costa was just in control the whole game and has poor finishing was all that stopped him from getting 6 or even 7 goals. Still the funds will help us.

              I got fired.

              I had the goal of reaching round 32 in domestic cup, did that, reached round of 16.

              I had the goal of avoiding relegation, did that, became 12th.

                How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

                The Return of The Dons

                February 2019 - Season 6
                FIFA '14

                FA Cup - Round 5
                West Bromwich Albion 0 - 0 AFC Wimbledon
                The hero of the match is undoubtedly West Brom's goalkeeper, Ruddy. The English goalkeeper recorded a total of 11 saves tonight allowing his team to maintain hope of progressing in the cup.

                AFC Wimbledon 2 - 1 Cardiff City
                WIM: Paterson 3' Gornell 70'
                CAR: Villalba 71'
                After the last match between these two teams, Wimbledon had a complete change in strategy going from their widely known 3-5-2 to the current 4-2-2-2. Cardiff's defensive work that day, despite losing the match, caused much desperation for Wimbledon's manager who decided to wipe the slate clean and start the next practice from scratch. This time around Wimbledon were clearly the dominant team but Cardiff were at least able to hold them to a close score.

                FA Cup - Round 5 Replay
                AFC Wimbledon 4 - 2 West Bromwich Albion
                WIM: Tafazolli 16' Clayton 44' Eaves 59' 75'
                WBA: Ninis 25' Aarons 72'
                West Brom's goalkeeper Ruddy usually plays increasingly solid matches against the Dons, but tonight the Wombles had too much in stock for him and he received 4 goals. "We all know that Indiblue's teams are going to be solid at the back with Ruddy at goalkeeper. I was actually surprised we scored as much as we did but we all have those bad matches every once in a while. I hope Indi can get together a good set of defenders that can play at Ruddy's level and get this team back to the top end of the Championship table and fight for promotion." - Chavez, Wimbledon manager.

                AFC Wimbledon 6 - 2 Everton
                WIM: Gornell 3' Paterson 17' James 22' Ruiz 78' Harvey 84' 90'
                EVE: Montero 32' 59'
                The Dons hit the ground running with an early goal, and by the 22nd minute they were already 3-0 up. Everton's Montero, who's rumored to be retiring this season, put Everton back in the game with two great goals after which the Wimbledon players began to look worried. Gornell had scored the Dons' 4th goal but it was ruled offside. Gornell didn't let the call push him off his game though and assisted youth graduate Mario Ruiz's goal. Tyler Harvey, who had been subbed in during the second half, finished Everton off with two goals to make it 6-2. The scoreline surprised many since the first time these two teams met this season the match ended 0-0 with Everton goalkeeper Krul putting in a great performance. Unfortunately for the Toffees, Krul wasn't able to repeat that this time around.

                FA Cup - Round of 16
                Fulham 1 - 3 AFC Wimbledon
                WIM: Richards 39' 58' Eaves 82'
                FUL: Cisse 45'
                Tom Richards was a surprise in Wimbledon's lineup tonight, but he justified Chavez's decision by scoring two goals to put Wimbledon through. Another surprise in tonight's lineup, was seeing Christophe Brown playing with the B team. There's been much speculation about the starting goalkeeper position with Brown struggling to keep a clean sheet in recent matches. Adam Cowie also struggles to keep clean sheets, but he hasn't been given a chance with the first team this season. With the Bayern Munich match coming up in two days, should Chavez be taking the risk of experimenting with his goalkeepers?

                Champions League - Round of 16 1st Leg
                AFC Wimbledon 3 - 1 Bayern Munich
                WIM: Paterson 32' Gornell 41' Tarkowski 81'
                MUN: Vidal 45'
                Another big team falls at Kingsmeadow, this time it was the German giants Bayern Munich. The Germans were dominating the match and had Wimbledon against the wall as soon as the match started. The Wombles were mostly trying to ice the game and clear the ball when the ball was too close to the box. As we all know, Neuer is a goalkeeper who enjoys venturing outside of his box; the modern goalkeeper. A little too much of that was unfortunately what caused the first goal. The Wimbledon defenders cleared the ball during a Bayern attack, which Neuer came out of his box to control with his chest. It seemed like a typical play from Neuer, but he ventured too far this time and dribbled the ball all the way to midfield. Luke James stole the ball from the World Cup champion and passed it to Callum Paterson who dribbled down the right wing and took a long shot into the open net. Gornell scored with a header to make it 2-0, but Arturo Vidal put Bayern back straightaway. The rest of the match was very tense on both sides, until James Tarkowski scored the third goal off a corner kick. Adam Cowie was the starting goalkeeper tonight for Wimbledon and despite receiving a goal he played well. This could finally be the beginning of his breakthrough since being promoted from the youth academy. Wimbledon still have a tough 2nd leg at the Allianz Arena but this win will surely boost their confidence. "I was expecting Bayern to play very defensively seeing as they always focus on defending when they face Ganchev's Hertha Berlin. Ganchev mentioned the last time we spoke that it's almost as if they have 6 defenders in front of goal, so I was very surprised to see them come out with a 4-1-4-1. He also warned me that Neuer has a weakness, so we just had to wait to expose it, and that is exactly what we did." - Chavez, Wimbledon manager.

                Notable Youth Academy Players

                Charlie Hopper - LB (48-50, 85-91): The English born 16 year old has been developing really well with the U-17, known for being a playmaker.

                Chris McGinn - CDM (61-65, 87-93): The 17 year old from Northern Ireland has finally chosen CDM as his position of choice. He's considered to be physically strong, but may not be promoted until next year.

                Curtis Burgess - CM (44-46, 80-86): The English midfielder surprised us in his latest showings with the U-17. The staff saw him as an average player, but after a few months of being with the youth team he has shown that he has a bright footballing career ahead of him. Known for his attacking style of play from midfield.

                Jamie Mannus - CDM (60-64, 82-88): This 16 year old from Northern Ireland has a bright future ahead of him. He stands at 6'5" and prefers playing as a defensive midfielder. Competition between him and Sean Archer in the U-17 is very close, with Mannus being more defensive minded. We expect great things from these two players.

                Mal Osborn - RB (40-42, 80-86): One of the only two fullbacks in the U-17 that isn't defensive minded. The English winger is only 15 years old and can't be registered with the senior team until next season.

                Scott McGabe - CDM (65-69, 85-91): The 16 year old from Scotland has been compared his compatriot Sean Archer as they both have similar playing styles. Both are defensive, playmaking, midfielders. McGabe's only flaw is his height: 5'7"

                Sean Archer - CDM (61-65, 85-91): The 16 year old from Scotland is an incredible playmaker who prefers to stay in the defensive half and analyze the game from there. He's one of the most exciting players in the U-17 but he will not be registered with the senior squad until next season.

                Steven Ross - CDM (58-62, 80-86): Defensive minded midfielder from Scotland. Recently turned 16 but won't be considered for promotion until next season.

                Todd Zebroski - CDM (58-62, 80-86): 15 year old playmaker from England. Definitely one to keep an eye on but can't be promoted until next season.

                Euro Cup Qualifiers - Group Stage

                Portugal 2 - 1 Scotland
                POR: Nelson Oliveira 45' Flavio 90'
                SCO: Paterson 71'
                The first international match without Blackburn Rover's Grant Hanley and Jordan Rhodes since the Blackburn manager asked Chavez not to call them up anymore as they battle through the relegation zone. Rhodes wasn't a key player in Chavez's system, but the Scotland captain Grant Hanley was surely missed tonight as Portugal grabbed a late win against the Scots.

                France 4 - 1 Scotland
                SIMMED
                France dominated their rivals Scotland who were clearly off their game tonight. Two losses in a row for the Scots who need to refocus and pick themselves up. The practice after this match was behind closed doors, but my sources indicate that Chavez is dropping the False 9 formation and working on implementing a three at the back formation with Scotland. We know Chavez enjoys working with a back line of three but he had never tried to bring that style of play to Scotland, stating that Scotland were best identified with a 4-3-3. Really looking forward to the next international break to see how this works out for Chavez. There will surely be some changes in the roster to accommodate the formation change.

                Euro Cup Qualifiers
                1. Belgium - 14 points
                2. France - 13 points
                3. Portugal - 8 points
                4. Scotland - 8 points
                5. Sweden - 5 points
                6. Finland - 1 point

                ***The match against France was the first and only match I've simmed so far in this career. I had initially played it and lost 1-0 with an early goal from Martial in the 5th minute and a 9.2 match rating from Lloris. I'm sure you can imagine how stressful that was. It was after that match that I decided to take a break from the career and went on to make a career with Guadalajara. That save overwrote the autosave from Wimbledon so when I came back to this career it was after the Portugal match. I didn't want to replay the France match and end up winning when I had initially lost to them, so I decided to just sim it so it wouldn't feel like cheating.***

                ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                The Dons start the next month off with the Capital One Cup Final against Chelsea and then they'll face Tottenham in a very important league match. Remember that Wimbledon have never won the Capital One Cup, and only reached the final once before in 2015, losing to Manchester United. AFC Wimbledon have also drawn Chelsea in the FA Cup Quarter Final at Kingsmeadow, and will be traveling to Munich three days later for the 2nd leg of the Champions League Round of 16.
                Dean Rhodes has recovered from his injury and is now training on par with his teammates. With the addition of Ryan Tafazolli to the B team we are unsure if Rhodes will go back to starting centre back or if Craig May will be taking the spot.
                I was looking over my reports when I noticed something that had somehow escaped my attention until now. AFC Wimbledon, are currently the team with the best attack in the Barclay's Premier League! Wimbledon lead the league in goals with 60, while Chelsea and Manchester United are 2nd and 3rd with 51 and 50 goals respectively. The best defense in the league so far is Chelsea with only 18 goals against, while Arsenal and Manchester United are tied for 2nd with 20 goals against each. Wimbledon, Manchester City, and Liverpool are tied for 4th with 27 goals against each. The Wombles are on fire this season and the statistics show why!
                This concludes my monthly report. I am back from vacation now (I finally accrued enough vacation time after almost 6 years of covering Wimbledon!) so I'll be here getting the inside on Wimbledon's day-to-day again.
                Thanks for Reading!!
                  Wow you are right there in the table, so close to leading it right now! And holy crap that Everton game! Good job against Bayern in the first leg of the Champions League as well.
                    Thanks! This is the first time since I was promoted to the BPL that the table is this close! It's always been either a two team race or one team is too far ahead in 1st. Bayern was very tough I'm surprised and glad I was able to use my home field advantage in the first leg. They have Suarez, Falcao, and Balotelli in the squad, so if they were to change the 4-1-4-1 to a 4-4-2 for example, they'd be deadly. Hopefully in future FIFAs the CPU will be able to change formation based on their current roster. It would make things much more competitive all around. Adding that to the long FIFA wish list! Lol
                      http://strawpoll.me/2831830 it would be helpfull if u could all vote, You can choose multiple teams, I am going to watch champions league right now and after that i will check the results and match them with what ihad in my mind, (REMEMBER I MIGHT DO TWO). I will try another football league 2 rebuild in about 3 months when this one finishes. Thanks guys, I appreciate it
                      P.S. Im sad!
                      Then why the heck did they fire you?! I don't understand... Ungrateful bast****! I voted for AC Milan since I don't remember seeing one on here before, and for Feyenoord.
                        Ahhh one of the things I hate the most in sports sh***y cpu signing, trading, drafting logic. But in all actuality, they could probably run a 4-3-3 and have all three up top
                          2 things
                          1) Shrewsbury update should be out tomorrow. Got 2 games of the month left before the transfer window but im distracted watching Champions League football right now (Bayern Munich 5-0 up at Roma!!!!!)
                          2) I got drawn against MK Dons in the FA cup 3rd round...
                            I voted Feyenoord since they have a few nice prospects in their squad, and I always encourage people to use teams they have a connection to as well.
                              I voted for BVB, Atletico, Feyenoord, and AC Milan. Would be nice to see what someone would do with Atletico after losing 3 key pieces of their Champions Cup team. BVB because I am doing a Munich career. Milan because we some Serie A love (besides the Roma career).
                                I have made my decision.
                                I am also going to switch to longer minute slider sets if i find one, I wanna feel every single game, it doesnt matter if the season will take longer because with Wycombe i just didnt care that much about lower games.
                                I will start up the transferwindow tonight and see what happens.
