So annoyed. I was tied in a game in the 90th minute. Most of extra time had home by and I attacked the box and got awarded a penalty. I line up to take the penalty with Wilson, and as I am watching the bar at the bottom waiting to start my kick my computer crashes.

AZ Loses Heartbreaker in Dutch Cup Semi, Gardner Furious at Officials

        2-3

        Goals

        AZ: Hupperts 55' Armstrong 71'
Groningen: van der Velden 21' Lindgren 50' Hoesen 85'

GRONINGEN, Netherlands Apr 1 - AZ had their dreams of hoisting the Dutch Cup dashed on a rainy evening in Groningen. A back and forth game saw a late goal by Danny Hoesen in the 85th minute secured the win, but the controversy was what followed. On the next run of play, Adam Armstrong played a ball through to Jóhannsson who slotted the ball into the top corner for what seemed to be a equalizer in the 87th minute. The flag was up. On video, it appeared that Jóhannsson timed his run perfectly. Gardner was furious after the match: "Let me preface this by saying giving up 3 goals in not going to win matches. That being said, we deserved to equalize, and an absolute travesty of a call was made by the linesman. It's wrong. Just wrong."

Gardner went on to personally guarantee a 5th or higher finish in the league, which would secure a Europa league appearance, which he believes was stolen from them with today's result.

Groningen will move on to face PSV in the final.

            DECEMBER

            FA CUP 2ND ROUND

            SHREWSBURY 2
            Grealish 76’
            Vernon 90’

            NORTHAMPTON 0

Dean Wilson’s side advanced to the 3rd round of the FA cup after overcoming a dogged Northampton side. Jack Grealish scored and assisted 1 in the final 15 minutes for the Shrews in a game that was over-shadowed by an injury to the league’s top scorer James Collins. The blow leaves Shrewsbury with just 2 fit strikers after Bobby Grant’s return to Blackpool following his short term loan.

            FOOTBALL LEAGUE 2

            SHREWSBURY 1
            Akpro 4’

            CAMBRIDGE 0

I played this game, drew 0-0 and then my xbox froze going back into the career menu so it didn’t autosave. Went back on, simmed the game and won. Kind of annoyed though.

            NEWPORT 1
            Howe 80’ (pen)

            SHREWSBURY 3
            Goldson 2’
            Mangan 50’
            Akpro 56’

Shrewsbury Town returned to good form with a commanding victory over a poor Newport County. Goals from Goldson and the two strikers Mangan and Akpro will no doubt have pleased the manager after his criticism of the players following the poor recent performances. The win keeps the Shrews at the summit whereas Newport remain hovering above the drop zone.

            CARLISLE 1
            Sweeney 42’

            SHREWSBURY 1
            Grealish 59’

It was a top of the table clash at Carlisle as they welcomed the visit of leaders Shrewsbury. The hosts were the more assertive side throughout the match and took the lead just before half time through captain Sweeney. A more attacking approach was adopted by the Shrews in the 2nd period and they equalised on the hour mark, with Ellis’ header hitting Grealish and going in, with the youngster knowing little about it. Dean Wilson praised his side’s efforts saying “we fought well tonight. It was going to be tough and we prepared and played well enough to deserve the point we got this evening.”

            SHREWSBURY 2
            Mangan 18’, 69’

            MORECAMBE 1
            Watson 74’

Dean Wilson’s men were able to overcome a hard working Morecambe side to remain at the top of the table. 2 goals from Andy Mangan made the absence of James Collins look less than a bother, as he took his season tally to 5. The away side did have something to cheer about and their team looked to be staging a late comeback, but the Shrews were able to hold on to all 3 points.

            CHELTENHAM 0

            SHREWSBURY 1
            Ellis sent off 34’
            Vernon 75’

Shrewsbury were able to grind out an excellent away win at one of the in-form teams of the division Cheltenham Town, despite losing centre half Mark Ellis in the first half to a straight red card. Scott Vernon poked home for his 6th goal of the season to hand Dean Wilson’s side a win which confirms their position at the top going into to 2015.

Standings at the end of December

            After 25 games

            1) Shrewsbury 54
            2) Hartlepool 52
            3) Southend 48
            4) Portsmouth 48
            5) Carlisle 47
            6) Oxford 45
            7) Plymouth 38

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

So, i have tried out all the voted career modes, and none of them appealed to me AFTER the transfer window, WHY? i will tell you:

I would consider myself a bargain buy guy, which means i will try to strengthen my team as much as possible with all the money i have, But with most of those teams, i just started buying, and buying and buying, and if i would continue with this team for 2 years, i would just overpower everyone.

For feyenoord it was just that im to familiar with their squad, and in reallife they are basicly restricted to old players that want to return to the Eredivisie or they buy talent from lower eredivisie teams. So it wasnt really fun for me.

I am going to try and do a Liga Adelante CM, Bundesliga CM or Football League 2 CM tonight and see if that works out Hope u guys dont mind.....

Cya tonight with the first update (probably) guys.

Wow the top of the table is tight! Hartlepool are right behind you. I've always forgotten to ask you how Luke Freeman has worked out for you. I had him in my squad for two seasons after I signed him on pre-contract, but this season I had to transfer him because he was unhappy with the playtime I offered him. Not gonna lie, I miss him sometimes lol

ALKMAAR, Netherlands Apr 29 - Gardner has followed through on his commitment to developing young talent, signing Midfield/Forward player Robin Apau to the senior squad. Apau will likely make his debut late this season, but has a long way to go. Scoring 12 goals and recording 8 assists in 20 matches at the U18 level, signing Apau was a good call for AZ

ALKMAAR, Netherlands May 5 - Despite the teams on field success, (4th place with 4 games to go) AZ Alkmaar manager Josh Gardner is furious, and it has nothing to do with the on field product. 3 recent loanees (Armstrong, Holmes, Jamieson IV) are due to return to their respective clubs, and two first team players (GK Esteban Alvarado and RW Mikhail Rosheuvel) and a reserve GK (De Winter) will be departing the club, and theres nothing to be done. "The board has put me in a position where I'm unable to make the moves we need to. I was planning to sign Adam Armstrong on a transfer, but the fee was apparently too high for this club. Alvarado and Rosheuvel will be gone as well. De Winter leaving gives us one GK! It's tough. We can't compete without money."
