Wow, you have done amazingly in the last few months to climb to first. I think that you will continue to play like this and you'll win the league by a good margin. It's good to see Ciftci back with you, hopefully he can be the same monster he was on FIFA 14. Also, in my opinion the newspaper/graphic look is better for the regular months and this style is better for transfer windows and special months with finals in them.

Thanks! I think I'm going to stick with the written updates though. Gives me a lot more freedom while creating the updates, and lets me develop more personality into it. I appreciate the feedback though, it was something different that I wanted to try, and I may bring it back from time to time.

ypu guys know whats prett interesting? I finally decided to post in this thread because I've seen all the feedback and how you guys just all get along. It's very nice to see many careers aswell. Also I started reading this about xmas time when i got a laptop for xmas. I starte way back in page 1 haha. with my flights being delayed and spending time in the airport and hotels. also with my sleep schedule being a bit messed (610 AM im in Canada ive never slept yet) so ive been getting in some serious reading. im on 216 now haha. Also its the only time i really get to read and play FIFA at night is because i spend most of my day with my GF. however she stays on campus during the week so ill get some more serious gaming in during the week :P

Millwall's new manager Erik Falaph has called to a press conference in preperation for his first competitive game as Millwall Manager

Press conference:

Q: Are you exited for your first competitive game in charge of Millwall?

A: Well, of course I am! It would have to be something wrong with me if I wasn’t exited for the start of the new season.

Q: The Millwall board has been very open with the fact that they aim for a mid-table finish, is this also your aim?

A: I would have to say that I aim a little higher, I have my eyes set on competing for the playoff places and I think that it is achievable.

Q: We have noticed that there have been a lot of players going in and out from the club are this something that will continue till the end of the transfer window?

A: Yes, I still have a few transfer targets left so a lot can happen.

Q: Are we going to see one or all of the new players making their debut for the club today against Bolton?

A: You will get to see Zelalem,Nicholls and Cataldi make their debuts but I am not sure about Bellerin, he just arrived at the club yesterday so he might need a little more time to adjust to his new surroundings.

August:

Capital One Cup: 1st Round

Millwall – Bolton (4-1)

• 74’ Cifci (Zelalem) (1-0)
• 82’ Cowan-Hall (Martin) (2-0)
• 87’ Gudjohnsen (2-1)
• 89’ Cataldi (Martin) (3-1)
• 90+’ Cowan-Hall (Martin) (4-1)

Recap: After a slow first half substitutions were made which were Zelalem, Martin and Cowan-Hall coming in for Millwall and they changed the game completely with Zelalem dominating the midfield, Cowan-Hall scoring two goals and Martin assisting to two.

MOTM: Lee Martin: Dominated his wing completely both defensively and offensively as well as assisting to two goals.

Matchday 1:

Millwall – Wigan (1-1)

• 45’ Maloney (0-1)
• 67’ Ciftci (Cowan-Hall) (1-1)

Recap: A well-played game between two evenly matched teams that ended in a 1-1 draw not much more to say really. Disappointing to not start with a win but a draw is acceptable.
MOTM: Maloney (Wigan) Stood for Wigan’s creativity and scored a beautiful goal.

Matchday 2:

Birmingham – Millwall (0-1)

• 59’ Gueye (Cataldi) (0-1)

Recap: A pretty boring game between two opponents who both focused primarily on the defensive. Millwall was the more effective team on the counter which was what made the difference in this game.

MOTM: Mark Beevers: He had an amazing game; he just shoved the attackers of the ball over and over again and was also very dominant in the air. His performance this game showed why he is the captain.

Matchday 3:

Millwall – Bournemouth (1-0)

• 50’ Lingard (Ciftci) (1-0)

Recap: Nothing really happened in this game, Millwall was in control of the possession but struggled to create chances but eventually in the 50th minute they scored through Lingard and after that just kept hold of possession.

MOTM: Gedion Zelalem: Was instrumental to Millwall with his brilliant passing and hard defensive work.

August recap:

To summarize it August was a very eventful month with a lot of players leaving the club as well as a lot of players coming into the club. I am happy with the signings we have made due to the fact it was mainly young players with a lot of growth left in them and that some transfers were unbelievably cheap. We also managed to get rid of a lot of the older players with high wages which was really good!

Regarding the matches that we played I have to say that I am satisfied, we collected 7 out of 9 points in the league which leaves us at 4th place on goal difference behind Cardiff and Wolves.
We also advanced to the next round of the capital one cup after beating Bolton with 2-1 at home. Preston awaits us in the second round.
However we only scored 3 goals in 3 games which aren’t that good so that is an area in which we will try to improve in the coming games. We only conceded 1 goal in those 3 league games so that is a positive that we will bring with us to the upcoming games.

Player of the month:

Mark Beevers: He has led the defence to several excellent performances and without him our lack of goals scored could have cost us a lot more points. He has really showed that I did the right choice when making him captain.

Solid start to the season and your new signings are already paying off in the first few games.

I agree with you on this one. I also like this thread a lot, it's so nice that we are basically a really big family where we care about each other, talk about stuff in our lives and joke a lot. You guys really make me want to improve my updates as much as I can and this thread makes the career mode experience a lot more interesting. The most interesting part is that we are complete strangers but we have formed some kind of a friendship between us and we know things about each other. It's hard to explain but I'm sure you get what I mean. By the way, I guess you mean that the Great War of 2014 is the one argument?

No the Great War was just one big joke. That's what I thought about the Great War but I couldn't think about anything else. Now that you mentioned the Southampton argument I remember it clearly. Man, we are so nice to each other, not swearing or fighting about signings or teams.


I think I have never told you about how I got kicked out of an airplane in the summer. I can tell you about that if anyone wants to know.

I know I personally use a combination of the two, using my knowledge and both the GTN and Sofifa to find players and then using the GTN in the game to get better numbers on where player's attributes and value lie at that moment in time.

I personally use the GTN and my own knowledge. I prefer to sign players that I have discovered myself, or are doing well in other leagues. Bony would not be a first choice signing for most who look at places like Sofifa, because he doesn't have a massive potential. However his ability in real life made me pick him up. Kampl was one I knew myself so I used the GTN to research him. I'm all about the real in form players, even if their out of form in game.

Thanks! I've started to pick up form and I'll be very disappointed if I'm not able to qualify for the Europa League. I love posts that look good. It's what I strive to do.

@Keano Yes, I see a lot of similarities with West Brom as well. Gakpe is my equivalent of Redmond, and Djilobodji is doing what Lescott did, which is make sure we have a strong foundation. I like your progress with Swansea, too. The 5-0 against Sunderland was fantastic, and I like that league table. Hope you don't mind if I do something similar?

Hopefully Redmond can be as good as he was for you with me. That Sunderland game was one where everything went right. Go ahead and use the table if you like, I have no problems if you (or anyone else) do.

In regards to the Lampard situation; If you say that you are going to (or not going to do something) you should stand by it. Lampard said he would never play for another English club and what does he do? He goes and chases glory with one of our title rivals. I'd love it if we beat them to the title just to show him up. Even the whole thing is a farce. He never even signed a contract with New York so he lied about that too. It was disgraceful, all those Americans buying season tickets and jerseys and he won't even be playing for them until after the Premier League is finished. He left a legend but now shouldn't even be compared to loyal players like JT and Drogs (who came back to play with us)

@Falaph: A solid start to Millwall and a big replacement of players! Nice foundations for the future.

@Tex: You are really starting to dominate! I like either of your update styles as both have their pros and cons. A good few Bosmans were made! I like the bringing in off the 2 twins too, similar to Chico and the Murphys. Hopefully they'll be a good success!

@Simp: I'd like to see Veronas back after this season. It's more enjoyable than United dominating all the time. Also I'd like to hear more about this airplane incident!

@SHoward: I liked the Preview of the Month's games. Something different. I like the fact that you are in the Argentinian League too. Again something different. I wish you luck.

@Jagger: Sucks to see you in the relegation zone. I'm sure you'll do a Sunderland on it though and stay up!

I kind of use a mix of the two. GTN brings up some names that I might be interested in and I'll scout them to get their current stats etc. I then look up their Potential on Sofifa and read the comments under them to see what others who have used the player have to say about him.

I use my own knowledge and the GTN, I think it makes it more enjoyable especially when finding a new player that fits your team perfectly that you have never heard of before
And I also think that it's more fun not knowing exaxtly how good a player can become because by knowing that it would be easy to always go for the same players.

I do both but I rely more on my own knowledge and sofifa. I use the GTN to find players with a year left on their contract, some promising gems and players who I could use and don't come to my mind.

I didn't have one in the summer and my dad (who had a ticket for the flight but who was meant to stay in Bulgaria for a few more weeks) decided that the best option would be to act like he had lost his passport at the game and wait for the plane to take off. Pretty stupid, right? Then on the plane the flight attendants asked about where he is and after a few very stressful questions I decided to tell the truth. Then a worker from the gate came and took me out of the plane to wait for my dad at the gate. He came and he was furious and we called my mom who said that I have permission to fly alone but the border patrol/passport checking cops just said that I need to have the piece of paper mentioned earlier. After that they took us to our baggage and said good bye. On the next day my mother had booked another flight and I and my father came back with it. I'm sorry if I was unclear, it's hard to concentrate when there's the Ballon D'Or gala going on at the same time.

How the hell did David Luiz make it to the team of the year???
