Have you read about that? Good stuff.

Have you heard about the Star Wars Battlefront coming out in November?? That is a must buy for me.
I really hope the film is amazing. All the hype it's getting could ruin it but I'm very positive and believe in Abrams' skills to make a great Star Wars film. The "Chewie, we're home" scene was just... so nostalgic. It will be interesting to see 70-year old Harrison Ford kick *** if he has a big role in the film.

I actually haven't even heard about Rogue One before you mentioned it. I'll have to do some research now. I know that there's a new Battlefront coming, though. Like Jamie said it won't have many of the features that make Battlefront Battlefront instead of just a war game with Star Wars characters. Then again, we're talking about EA here after all...

No, I haven't but I've heard many good things about it. It just isn't really my kind of a game and I've never liked the Expended Universe stuff. Many people have said amazing things about the game, though.

You need to use a Creation Centre (only on last gen) team and pay a few bucks to be able to use it. Typical EA, man.

Also, Assombalonga has been very good for you!
Thanks! Yeah that Blackpool game was just me adjusting to new sliders but their keeper was very good. The top of the league is very tight and like you said if we can string some results together we can climb up the table. Next month is definitely big and let's hope we can get through it.

You had a good start to the month and Draxler and Hakan were big parts of it. Tough way to finish out the month though losing back to back 1-0 against Bayern and Bilbao. You can overcome that 1-0 in the next leg however!

I'm glad to see that the peace has been restored within the forum.

I just wanted to add: well done Chelsea! They've been so dominant and deserve the title. It wouldn't surprise me if they win it next season either, unless another team goes on an amazing run!

I would also like to give my condolences to Rio Ferdinand who lost his wife, Rebecca, from cancer a few days ago. He doesn't deserve it for all that he's done and I hope his emotional wounds heal quick enough to get him smiling again.

Whenever I play as Nottingham Forest, Assombalonga was always a nucance for the opposition and that's exactly what he did for you this month! Nice results but maybe a little disappointing in your mind against Blackpool. You say that you used new sliders for that match. Were they any good?

Assombalonga has been a beast! He has a good combination of pace, strength and aerial presence. Everything I like in a striker. November should be up tomorrow and he has had another good month.

In regards to the sliders: They are first ones I've found for last gen since all the ones I had found were all for next gen. They have slowed the game down a lot which is good for me. I think I'll do a small bit of tweaking so that the opposition can get some more shots than they are now. They are a solid base to work off though.

Looking forward to the next update!

Ah, thanks! I might try these sliders out myself. Is there anything i should be wary of or change before using these sliders?

They are for last gen and supposed to be for 15mins halves but I've put Acceleration, line length and line width up a couple of points so I can play 10 minute halves.

Thanks! I'm on last gen and i also play 10 min halves so that's helpful! I'll try them out now.

EDIT: I've tried them and i have no idea whether i love them or hate them. They're very addictive though and I will try them again tomorrow.

                      "TOO BIG FOR THIS LEAGUE"
                      LEGENDARY
                      PS4

                      Match 13

                      Birmingham 2-3 Brentford
                      Davis 17
                      Betinho 38
                      Forster-Caskey 45 (PEN)
                      Smith 51
                      Thomas 89

Davis opened the scoring for Birmingham, smashing in on the volley from close range after Donaldson headed down to him. Betinho equalised for us, finding the top corner from just inside the box to finally get a goal for us before Button was forced into a save. Novak brought down Dallas in the box and new signing Forster-Caskey converted from the spot. Smith made it 3, calmly beating the defender before stopping the ball dead and smashing it into the top corner. Thomas pulled one back with a goal that proved how crap Button is, firing it straight at him but he let it bounce in off his foot. However, we held on and our reserve side got a deserved lead.

                      Match 14

                      Brentford 1-0 Bournemouth
                      Pritchard 14
Pritchard got the only goal of the game with an excellent free kick, finding the top corner by catching the keeper out as the set piece was in an area better suited to crossing in. Pritchard and Ibe forced some great saves from Camp. Wilson managed to miss 2 sitters for Bournemouth as we held on for the win.

                      Match 15

                      Sheffield Wednesday 1-1 Brentford
                      Notes lost

                      Match 16

                      Brentford 2-0 Watford
                      Pritchard 11 (PEN)
                      Pritchard 28 (PEN)

Pritchard opened the scoring from the spot after Angella brought him down as he pranced into the box. Lee made a good save to deny Forestieri's deflected effort before we went up the other end and scored from the spot after Gray was brought down by Layun. Gray fired just wide before half time and then came an incredibly dull second half.

                      Match 17

                      Charlton 0-2 Brentford
                      Gray 39
                      Gray 66

Henderson made a great save to deny Ibe from the edge of the box before Jackson headed a wonderful opportunity over the bar for Charlton. Gray opened the scoring, flicking the ball through Henderson's legs to find the back of the net after running onto Pritchard's clever outside of the foot pass. Henderson saved a Pritchard penalty not long after half time after the youngster had been bundled over by Ben Haim. Gray made it 2, running onto Pritchard's excellent over the top ball to curl in off the post. Buyens hit the post with a header late on for Charlton to sum up their day.

                      Match 18

                      Brentford 0-0 Blackburn
Blackburn goalkeeper Steele was incredible in this game. Steele made his first excellent save to deny Jota from close range. Pritchard hit the post from distance before Steele incredibly got an arm to Gray's rebound to deny him. He made yet another save to deny Gray's curling effort and got down low to stop Pritchard's thunderous strike.

                      League Table

                      1. Cardiff 40
                      2. Fulham 37
                      3. Brentford 34

                        Quagliarella 82’
                        Asamoah 85’

                        MOTM: Palacio

Torino put a lot of pressure on us early and got the opener when nobody marked Lopez on a corner kick and he had a free header that went in off the cross bar. A few minutes later though Shaqiri would be fouled in the box after he was through on goal, the defender was lucky to come away with just a yellow. Palacio would step up to take the kick and scored with a powerful strike to the top left corner. Around the 33’ Shaqiri was once again fouled in the box, but Palacio who would take the this kick as well, went to the right this time. The kick was matched with a fantastic save from Torino goalkeeper, Padelli to keep the score level. Palacio would make up for his miss though after a half hour of midfield battling with a sublime finish to the bottom corner from just inside the box after some great build up.tornio was still a threat though as they continued to go forward with quick play that passed by our midfield to easily and in the 82’ minute Quagliarella ran on to an aerial through ball and volleyed home from 20 yards out to score an outstanding goal. The game wasn’t over yet though as Torino was happy with a draw and was passing it around in the back when Palacio was able to steal the ball and play a ball over the top to an on coming Asamoah who was able to get to the ball and on his first touch hit a rocket of a shot past Padelli to score a goal on his debut and get us three points.

Asamoah’s volley to put us ahead in the 85th minute against Torino.

                        My Starting XI

Bench: Podolski; Dodo; Kovacic; Brozovic; Andreolli; Felipe; Scuffet

                        My Thoughts on this Month:

                        About the Games:
I simulated all of the friendlies because I hate playing them, but I was very happy seeing us win two and tie one. The one League game that I play I thought we were good. We kept the ball well and looked dangerous on the attack. Our defence is pretty slow which looked to be our biggest downfall, but I think if I tell our wingers to stay back a little bit more we should be good to go.

                        About the Transfers:
This transfer window saw us say good bye to three players. Nagatomo was part of the deal to get Asamoah which I think will prove to be a good decision, because at only 25 I think he is a great player for what we need him to do which is run up and down the line supporting the defense and offence. We also saw Juan Carrizo leave, he was our back up keeper but I thought the $3,000,000 bid was a good piece of business for us so I let him go. Which brings us to Simone Scuffet, he is the one I brought in to replace Carrizo. Scuffet is our new back up because I don't have faith in the other back up keepers that we have. I believe that one day Scuffet will be Italy's number one and he can help us after Handanovic retires. Our deadline day deal was letting Hernanes leave, which has seen us heavily criticized and many supporters were not happy. I didn't see him playing much though, so instead of making him warm the bench I let him leave for a reasonable fee.

                        The Foreseeable Future:
I think Shaqiri, Palacio and Handanovic will be our key players this year and Santon may be the weak link, he just is not fast enough to get up and down the flank and I will be looking for a replacement for him in January and trying out different players there until then. I so far have not been impressed with Icardi and he may lose his starting position to Podolski if he doesn't start performing.

                        About the Objectives:
Also I think we should be able to meet all of the objectives. We should top the Europa League group pretty easily in my opinion. The Domestic Cup is winnable, especially if the larger teams get knocked out and in the league we will need to get top 3 which I think is doable.

If you guys have any questions let me know. Also any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I know I'm late, so I hope everything went better than planned and you had an amazing wedding. Congratulations to you and your fiancé (now wife), and I wish you nothing but the best for years to come. I understand you were already living together with her so I'm sure it won't be too difficult to adjust to the married life. As long as there's still FIFA I'm sure it will be a long and happy marriage lol Oh and enjoy your honeymoon man!

On this, the day of our brother's wedding, I wanted to share our Holy 10 Commandments of FIFA...which I found somewhere on twitter a few days ago lol

Thanks so much man! Everything went absolutely perfect. I appreciate you thinking of us.

I'm finally back guys! If I start losing in FIFA I'll blame it on adjusting to the ring, which of course has no actual effect. I'm so far behind right now but I've been trying my best to keep up here haha.

Apparently any time I'm gone a war breaks out.

                                Transfers In

CB - Sergi Gomez (Spain) (74 OVR 25yrs)
                                Pre-Contract Arrival From Celta Vigo
The former Barcelona defender has arrived at Basque Country under a free transfer that was agreed on last January. Gomez, a native of Catalonia, came up through Barcelona's youth academy and made one 90-minute official appearance for the senior team under Pep Guardiola before leaving the Catalans and joining Celta de Vigo in 2014 where he's been one of their starting centre backs. Gomez has played with Spain's Youth National Teams at all levels and has also played with the Catalonia National Team, but has never played with Spain's senior team. The 25 year old tactician joins Osasuna as a possible replacement for the aging captain Miguel Flaño.

CM - Jose Campaña (Spain) (75 OVR 24yrs)
                                Purchased from Sampdoria for $14m
Campaña started his football career early, joining Sevilla's youth academy at the age of 7 and then making his debut with Sevilla B at age 16. Campaña was very successful with Spain's Youth National Teams participating at all levels and even wearing the captain's armband in his final appearances. Campaña played at the 2013 U20 World Cup as a starter for Spain along with a generation of future stars such as Suso, Paco Alcacer, Jesé, Oliver Torres, and Gerard Deulofeu. However at club level, it took him some time to establish himself as an important name. He left Sevilla in 2013 to join Crystal Palace, who then loaned him out to Nurnberg in 2014. After his loan ended, he was purchased by Sampdoria that same year, who then loaned him out to FC Porto. He had struggled to find game time with his clubs, making his most appearances with Nurnberg (10) since leaving Sevilla. However after his loan with Porto ended he became a crucial first team player for Sampdoria which is why Osasuna had to pay $14,000,000, a record breaking fee for Chavez, in order to bring him back to Spain. Campaña has shown glimpses of being a virtuoso midfielder his entire career, but defending is his weakness. Serie A's slow and controlled style of play allowed him to show his skill and become a crucial player, but he will be aiming to prove that he can be just as important in Spain and maybe even return to the national team who once considered him a future star.

                                Transfers Out

CM - Victor Camarasa (Spain) (76 OVR 23yrs)
Purchased by Malaga CF for $5m + $10k pay raise
Camarasa was brought to Osasuna in Chavez's first season, and he has been an important player for Los Rojillos ever since. He played well as both a holding midfielder and a box to box midfielder, but after he announced that he would not be signing a contract extension Chavez removed him from his plans. Even though Camarasa ended up actually signing the second contract that was offered to him, Chavez still decided to let him go as he had previously shown he wasn't 100% with the club. Chavez didn't get in the way of Camarasa's desire to leave and accepted the first offer that came in which was from Malaga, a club that has done business with Chavez in two separate occasions in the past. In the past, Malaga purchased Francisco Silva from Osasuna and also traded Sergi Darder for Raoul Loe, which makes Camarasa the fourth midfielder to go from one club to another since Chavez's arrival.

CM - Maikel Mesa (Spain) (66 OVR 26yrs)
                                Loaned to RC Recreativo

RW - Jose David Ramirez (Mexico) (65 OVR 21yrs)
                                Loaned to Racing Santander
Ramirez came to Osasuna as one of the most recent prospects of Guadalajara's highly esteemed youth academy, and while he did play well for Osasuna he hasn't improved his game very much. This loan spell is intended to help Ramirez gain experience and grow. If he doesn't, then he may not be an Osasuna player next season.

CB - David Garcia (Spain) (65 OVR 23yrs)
Purchased by CD Numancia for $525k

ST - Manuel Onwu (Spain) (67 OVR 29yrs)
Purchased by Deportivo La Coruña for $775k

CM - Mikel Merino (Spain) (64 OVR 21yrs)
Purchased by Deportivo La Coruña for $475k
Texasbum's Deportivo have put their trust in former Osasuna players Onwu and Merino to help them fight for survival in La Liga. Both players have played really well for the Osasuna B-Team in the past and Deportivo will hope to get the same, if not better, football out of them. Manuel Onwu still holds the title of B-Team (CM) Top Scorer so the recently promoted side are looking forward to seeing if he can find his goal scoring form again after only scoring one goal for Osasuna last season.

                                Preseason Friendlies

                                INJURY NEWS
Sergi Darder will be out for 5 weeks with a Broken Metatarsal suffered during training. He will miss at least the first match of preseason.

                                CA Osasuna (B-Team) 2 - 0 SM Caen
                                OSA: Davila 42' 71'
Osasuna started off their preseason with the B-Team featuring Miguel Flaño at RCB and Sisi at RM in their usual 4-1-4-1. Xavi Quinti also made an appearance for the B-Team at LB, and played very well there. The Spanish left back has spent most of his Osasuna career on loan at other clubs and he is hoping to change that this season. The B-Team played very well, with Martinez, Ramos, and Oier being the defensive trident in midfield controlling possession. Osasuna made a lot of passes, but not so many shots. Their second shot of the match came in the 42nd minute which was also the first goal of the match. After a rejected corner kick, Martinez opened up the play wide with Sisi who used his speed to outrun his marker and cross the ball into the box, where Ulises Davila beat his marker with his positioning and headed the ball into the net!

A great start for the Mexican midfielder who has been an attacking sensation since joining Osasuna from Liga Adelante's Tenerife. In the 65th minute Chavez made all his available substitutions, changing to a 4-2-3-1 formation with Kenan Kodro at ST and Ulises Davila at CAM. The changes also included Marcos Alonso (70 OVR LB) coming on but as a LM instead of his usual left back position. Alonso did very well out wide, partnering up with Quinti and getting the ball into the box with crosses trying to find Kodro's head. In the 71st minute Osasuna extended their lead to 2-0, with Oier anticipating Davila's run into the box with a through ball and then Davila smashing the ball into the net with his left foot.

Everything was going Osasuna's way and it didn't stop. Los Rojillos defended well and held the clean sheet until the end of the match. Ulises Davila was given the Man of The Match award but other players like Miquel, Quinti, Oier, and Martinez also played great matches.

                                Eint. Frankfurt 0 - 2 CA Osasuna
                                OSA: Guillermo 45' Palacios 86'
Jose Campaña made his preseason debut with Los Rojillos tonight, and the midfielder did not disappoint with accurate, controlled passing and decent defending. Osasuna started the match on top with Darder and Campaña controlling midfield and opening up the play by getting the ball to the wings, but as the match went on Frankfurt flipped it and became the better side on the field. The Spaniards struggled to hold them off and the Germans became extremely close to scoring the first goal of the match. Right when Frankfurt were at their most dangerous, Osasuna bit back with Isma Lopez receiving the ball on the right wing, cutting in to his left foot and sending a cross into the box finding Guillermo who then powered the ball into the net with a header right before halftime.

The first half ended soon after the goal and it was surprising to see Frankfurt's numbers at the break. Frankfurt had recorded a total of 7 shots on goal, but only one of them was on target. The second half was much more balanced than the first, but again Frankfurt weren't able to produce anything concrete. Frankfurt were really trying to equalize so as to not disappoint their home fans, but four minutes before the end of the second half Palacios signed off the match with a powerful left footed shot into the net.

Isma Lopez had taken a corner kick since Torres was no longer on the field, but his corner was taken poorly and it curved out to the edge of the box instead of the center where most of Osasuna's players were waiting for the cross. As the ball came down, youth graduate Luis Martinez got his head to it with a heading pass towards Palacios, who controlled the ball and then dribbled between two Frankfurt defenders to shoot and score. Lopez's corner kick was initially a poor one, but Martinez was able to rescue it and even make it look like a prefabricated play.

                                INJURY NEWS
Julian Luque will be out of action for approximately 9 days with a Bruised Shoulder suffered during training.

                                CA Osasuna 2 - 2 Watford
                                WAT: Ighalo 45' Battocchio 74'
                                OSA: Guillermo 48' 88'
A defeat at home is definitely not the way Osasuna would like to end their preseason, but fortunately Guillermo came through and scored a brace to level the match. Youth graduate Eriq Lisch made his debut between the sticks tonight becoming the first ever American to play in Osasuna's jersey, but he is also the only goalkeeper to not secure a clean sheet in the preseason. Other changes to Osasuna's First Team lineup included the new arrival Sergi Gomez in place of Miguel Flaño and Xavier Quinti in place of Sisi. Roberto Torres wore the captains armband today. The young goalkeeper Lisch wasn't too busy during the first half with his team controlling possession and setting the pace against Watford's deep 5-3-2. The English side played counter attacking football and it didn't pay off until the 45th minute in which Ighalo put the ball past Lisch with a shot at mid-height. The first half ended soon after the goal, but only three minutes into the second half Osasuna reacted with their star man Guillermo. The Basque striker received a through ball from Darder inside the box and he then took a strong right footed shot to equalize the match.

The match went on the same as the first half, with Osasuna controlling the match but being unable to break through Watford's tight back line of 5. In the 74th minute Watford took the lead with yet another counter attack, this time with Battocchio disposing of Quinti and Lopez on the left wing, cutting inside the box, and then powering the ball into the net through Lisch's near post. It looked like the match would end with the 2-1 scoreline as Osasuna still couldn't get the ball past Watford's defenders, but just two minutes before completing the 90 Isma Lopez crossed the ball into the box and found Guillermo who beat his marker in the air and then capitalized on Watford's goalkeeper's terrible positioning to equalize the match yet again.

The match ended 2-2 with Osasuna delighted to give their home fans an incredible match even in the preseason.

CA Osasuna Player of The Preseason

                                ST - Guillermo (Spain) (79 OVR 24yrs) (+1)
There was no doubt Guillermo was Osasuna's most important player in the friendlies, not only scoring 3 of the 6 goals obtained but also being a great team player on the field. His incredible strength and ball control make it extremely difficult for the opposition to get the ball off him and it allows him to get the ball to his teammates in advanced positions. Everything seems to point that this will be his best season yet.

                                Preseason Headlines

First Trophy Of The Season Up For Grabs
Osasuna made history last season by cleaning the dust and cobwebs off their trophy cabinet and adding their first ever professional trophy to it, the Europa League Cup. The Basques now have the opportunity to add their second trophy to the cabinet, as winning the Europa League has earned them a shot at winning the Copa Europe (UEFA SuperCup) against last season's Champions League winners. It won't be easy though. The team they will have to face will be the current champions of Europe and German giants, FC Bayern Munich. Having two European cups as their first two professional titles would be a great accomplishment, and it would also give them a huge boost going into the league.

Champions League - Not Quite There Yet
Osasuna set new records for them in the league last season by finishing 4th when their previous highest finish had been 5th under Chavez, but also tying the club's best ever league finish (4th in 1990/91 and 2005/06). Finishing in fourth also grants them the opportunity of playing at their first ever Champions League in Osasuna's history, which would be a tremendous achievement. After their 2005/2006 finish, they also had the chance to play amongst Europe's best but were unfortunately eliminated in the qualifying stage by Hamburg so they didn't make it to the group stage. They now have another shot at making it to the Champions League, but they have a qualifying round between them and the group stage. Osasuna will face off against SK Rapid Wien for a place in the Champions League, and although they have played Rapid Wien twice last season in the Europa League, Osasuna will be hoping they don't encounter old ghosts from their qualifying match against Hamburg.

                                Chicharito Heads Off To Italy
After a successful Confederations Cup with Mexico, Javier Hernandez received a lot of attention from scouts who were interested in preventing him from rotting away at FC Barcelona. The teams that showed the most interest were Arsenal and Juventus, but in the end the Italians were the ones that were able to bag the Mexican striker with a $37,000,000 USD fee. This is good news for the Mexican National Team manager Chavez since Chicharito will surely be in even better form now that he will have more game time opportunities with his new club.

                                Conclusion
Overall I'm really happy with our performance in the friendlies. I tried having Palacios (RS) with the instruction to drift wide but I noticed that while it allows Guillermo to stay central where he's most dangerous, it blocks Torres and Romeu on the right wing. I'm still working on it though. I might try giving Torres more specific instructions and see if that changes anything. If not, I might just leave Palacios with no instructions so that he doesn't only stay central or only drift wide.

I was disappointed with Eriq Lisch on his debut. Watford only had two real scoring opportunities and they converted on both. In both goals I was left with the feeling that Lisch could have done more to save them. Because of this, I have decided that he will be loan listed. Hopefully when he returns he's ready to compete for a spot in one of the two lineups. In the meantime, I'm still very confident with Riesgo and Rodriguez.

EDIT: So far I'm really happy with the new signing Campaña. Great passing and his attempts on goal have been accurate. Even though defending is his weakness he's been quite good at recovering the ball. So far a great box to box midfielder. I was worried about having two playmaking midfielders as my only defensive Mids on the field, but Darder and Campaña played great in the preseason even though neither of them have high defensive stats. Sergi Gomez only played one match and that was the only match we received a goal (Watford). I was surprised to see him come in at 74 OVR instead of the 72 I was expecting, but I wasn't too happy with his performance against Watford. It seems as if his high attacking workrate is forcing him to be caught out of position when the opposition attacks especially in counters. It may take him some time to adjust to playing next to Albentosa, but Ignasi Miquel has been playing really good in recent times so if Gomez takes too long to adjust Miquel will be granted his chance. After all Miquel has been a loyal player since joining us in my first season.

That's it for our preseason! Our first league match will be against Villarreal followed by the first leg of the qualifying round against Rapid Wien.
                                Thanks For Reading!
