Good news on the deadline deals. I am picking up the game this weekend. I have another week left of grad school classes before a short break, so that's when I plan to get started with the Newcastle CM and start posting some updates here. Looking forward to all the new CMs!!

      FIFA 16 - Season 1

      Pompey's Youth Movement

      Portsmouth FC Club History

Football League First Division Champions: 1948-49, 1949-1950
      Football League Championship: 2002-03
      Football League One: 1923-24, 1961-62, 1982-83
      FA Cup: 1939, 2008
      FA Community Shield: 1949

Founded in 1898, Portsmouth saw success early in their existence. After WWI, the club began their climb towards the top division, ultimately succeeding in 1927. By 1938-39 the club had already reached their third F.A. Cup final, beating Wolverhampton to take home the cup in 1939. Due to suspension of the league football during WW2, Portsmouth hold the distinction of holding the FA Cup for the longest uninterrupted period, as the trophy wasn't again contested until the 1945-46 season. After league player resumed, Portsmouth went on to win back-to-back league titles in 1949 and 1950. A slow decline started that finally saw them relegated in 1959, and they would not return to the top division until 1986-87, but saw relegation after just one season. Harry Redknapp eventually took over as manager in 2002, and immediately won the league earning promotion back to the top division. This led a period of success that saw impressive finishes in the Premier League, and the club also took home it's second F.A. Cup in 2008. In 2009 a financial crisis hit, and the club was relegated 3 times in 4 seasons falling down to the 4th division after becoming a fixture in the Premier league for some time. The club was sold in 2012 to the Pompey Supporter's Trust after the previous owner's financial deficiencies had ruined the once successful club. Now in the fourth division, and owned by a trust of the fans, the new future of the club is ready to be written.

      Portsmouth FC Announces New Manager

After Andy Awford was relieved of his duties in the closing part of last season, it left Portsmouth looking for a new manager to begin the 2015/16 campaign. Awford marked the 5th different manager to be let go since the start of the 2010/11 season for Portsmouth. With a constant shuffle in not only player, but management personnel, the club is sorely looking for some stability. The better portion of that time has been spent treading water after the club's financial debts crippled their ability to compete and stay up. It has become apparent that a new shift if philosophy is needed if the club is to turn it's fortunes around. Rather than just trying to stay good enough, they need to create a plan to actually improve themselves year after year in order to work their way back up the English Football system.

The man for the job has now been announced though, and it is former Northern Ireland international Steve Lomas. Lomas spent the majority of his playing career at the likes of Manchester City, West Ham United, and Queens Park Rangers. At the end of his career he joined non-league club St. Neots Town as a player manager before taking a position with St. Johnstone in Scotland after one season. In his first season in charge he guided the club to a top 6 finish for the first time since 1999 and qualified for the Europa League. The next season, his first full season in charge, he guided his club to a third place finish and qualified for the Europa League for a second straight year. After his success in Scotland, he accepted the manager position with Millwall FC, inheriting a team that finished the previous season just two points clear of relegation. He was only given half a season, even after undertaking a tough task to turn around a nearly relegated team, and he was relieved of his duties despite having the club a spot higher than the previous season. Lomas took a break from managing after that and it appears that he has now decided that it is time to give it another go, with Portsmouth being the club he sees as the right fit. With the short leash he was give in his last league job, it appears that Portsmouth's new dedication to the future was a selling factor in him taking this position. Lomas enters the job with an eye towards youth and he and the club's front office have laid out a plan to turn Portsmouth around and work their way back up the English Football system.

      5 Year Plan

      Year 1
      - Establish a Youth Academy and bring at least 3 players into the system to begin development.
      - Sign only homegrown qualified players, or players that can achieve homegrown status before turning 21.
      - Achieve promotion to Football League One

      Year 2
      - Promote at least 1 player into the first team and maintain no more than 5 players in the academy due to cost constraints.
      - Sign only homegrown qualified players, or players that can achieve homegrown status before turning 21.
      - Finish in the top half of Football League One

      Year 3
      - Promote at least 1 player into the first team and maintain no more than 7 players in the academy due to cost constraints.
      - Sign only homegrown qualified players, or players that can achieve homegrown status before turning 21.
      - Achieve promotion to Football League Championship if not accomplished last season/Finish in top half of Football League Championship

      Year 4
      - Promote at least 1 player into the first team and maintain no more than 8 players in the academy due to cost constraints.
      - Sign only homegrown qualified players, or players that can achieve homegrown status before turning 21, with the exception of 1 foreign player allowed per season.
      - Finish in top half of Football League Championship if newly promoted/Finish in a promotion playoff position.

      Year 5
      - Promote at least 1 player into the first team and maintain no more than 10 players in the academy due to cost constraints.
      - Sign only homegrown qualified players, or players that can achieve homegrown status before turning 21, with the exception of 1 foreign player allowed per season. Restrictions to be lifted once promoted to the Premier League as long as the league's homegrown requirements are met.
      - Achieve promotion to the Premier League through either the playoff or direct promotion.

I might be getting a new laptop at the weekend, fingers crossed. My FIFA arrives on Thursday and my first update probably would usually be that night, which I will try to do on mobile. Can someone post the commands for me to us for bold, etc. Thank you

          Bold - [b][b]
          Italics - [i][i]
          Underline - [u][u]
Color - you can substitute any color instead of blue
size - you can substitute any size instead of 3, the higher the number the larger the size.
          center -

All of those codes need to have the second set of brackets start with a "/" before the letter or word. So "[/command]" would be to close out of the commands as long as you opened it with the first part previously.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Ah, here it is, FIFA 16.

Wait, I am being rude, sorry lads! I know what you are thinking "*** **** Cruzerr is never here and now pops out of nowhere!" I guess you can atleast be happy that now Simppu can talk about Soviet world dominance and ChicoBass can talk about Star Wars (haha, good lad!).

Anyway, kinda like Rabbit (I guess?), I have been stalking this forum, just times have been tricky, really tricky. Life gives you all kinds of obstacles, and currently, I don't have everything worked out. I like it how I write this as Tex posts his new FIFA 16 career mode with Portsmouth, haha. (You must love it that Fratton Park is in the game!)

So wait, what ARE you doing here Cruzerr? - Well, to be honest, I just miss posting my own CM haha, and posting in general. I haven't got FIFA 16 and won't get it anytime soon, however, I am working on things and if they go for the better, I will return with a bang. The worst part is that I have already made preperations for the CM and just kills me that I can't post yet.

However, I will still sneak around and tell you guys to pipe it down when needed. When will I post? Not sure, I am waiting, living, doing stuff. Just wait for it.

Untill then, Papa Cruzerr is keeping an eye on you, take care.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Hi guys so while I impatiently wait for Friday (When I get FIFA 16). I would like to show you how I normally plan my Career Modes. I got this idea from youtuber MGH and have improved on it ever since. I haven't included what's below which is:

Date: Team: Comp. Where: : MOTM: Goalscorers:
                  Season 1

The way I keep track of every game.

Anyway this is how I want to build my Watford side for FIFA 16. the guys in Italics are the players I want to buy whilst the players I will probably sell are under the heading Sell. Youth heading is for the players that won't really play in the first team and might be loaned out, or now just trained due to the new feature. Players with the squad number between 1-35 I classify as first team players whilst the players with squad numbers 26 to 50* (depends on the amount of players I have) this squad number rule can be exempt if a player I buy has used that number for his career e.g. Balotelli with 45. A number is changed from a youth to first team if the player is introduce regualy into the first team, players in the first team can still be loaned out for development/ lack of playing time e.g. Smith who i will look to loan out.

                  Untitled.jpg

This makes my experience feel more realistic for me. If you have any questions on it or improvements I'm happy to read.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

OkDoei's Arsenal FC Career Mode. Season 1.

                    David james’ first press conference.

Q: Let’s begin with the obvious question; How do you feel at your new club?
A: A bit strange, right now. I’m still getting used to being at such a big club. It’s new for me, but I’m enjoying it so far. I’ve had two training sessions with the squad since I arrived here, and they’re very happy and in a good mood.

Q: Do you think that you’ve got what it takes to manage a club like Arsenal?
A: Tough question, haha. I’ll give my very best and I will make sure that we keep playing with joy and inspiration. The worst thing that could happen, in my eyes, is that we start to play dull football and boring matches.

Q: You’re from the Netherlands. Will you try and implement the Dutch system? I mean the famous 433 formation, with a number 10 role in the middle of the park, and wingers high up the field?
A: Not sure, actually. It’s my personal favourite formation, and the fact that Holland made that formation famous is a funny coincidence. But I have to see which formation works with this squad. I’m thinking about a 451 formation as well, so let’s wait and see.

Q: Let’s talk transfers. What will Arsenal do this summer?
A: The usual answer would be an answer that doesn’t give you the truth. So here’s my answer. I want to sign at least two players which can start in the first team straight away. So I’m talking about top signings. This will be hard to do, but we’re Arsenal and we shouldn’t give up so easily.

Q: Surprising and an ambitious answer. Which positions do you want to improve with your transfer window activity?
A: The obvious ones. I’m looking for another striker, because I think that we’re too thin in that position. We’ve got a few options there, but if one of them gets injured then we’re looking at a problem. The second position that I want to improve is the defensive midfielder’s position. We’ve got Coquelin as our defensive midfielder, with Arteta and Flamini as back up players. I still want another defensive midfielder, because I think that it’ll keep Francis concentrated and focussed to maintain his starting eleven spot.

Press: Good luck within your new position and we’ll be hearing from you soon enough.

                    TRANSFER TARGETS.

                    Priority targets:

                    CDM:

                    William Carvalho

                    Positions: CDM, CM, CB.

                    Age: 23.

Marked priority because: He has been linked with Arsenal numerous times. He’s a young but very, very physical midfielder who would do just excellent in the Premier League.

                    Ander Iturraspe

                    Positions: CDM, CM, CB.

                    Age: 26.

Marked priority because: He’s a personal favourite. I like his playing style, and he’s very intelligent. He’s physical but a great passer of the ball as well. He should fit in just fine with Arsenal’s playing style.

                    Grzegorz Krychowiak

                    Positions: CDM, CB.

                    Age: 25.

Marked priority because: He has been linked to Arsenal for quite some time now. Very physical defender who’s a surprising good passer and has a powerful shot. He’s doing just fine in Sevilla’s team, winning the Europa League and being one of the best midfielders in the league.

                    STRIKER:

                    Mauro Icardi

                    Positions: ST.

                    Age: 22.

Marked priority because: Icardi has been quality for a long period of time now, despite being really young. The striker from Inter has been bagging goals for quite some time now. He’s a classic 9, but being capable of dribbling past defenders as well. He’s very talented and I like his playing style. He will bring something new to Arsenal.

                    Antoine Griezmann

                    Positions: ST, CAM, LW.

                    Age:24.

Marked priority because: Griezmann doesn’t need any explanations about why he’s on the priority list. He’s developing into a world class player and he’s reaching sky high levels at the moment. This will be one of the hardest transfers to accomplish, but we’ll still try and convince him to join Arsenal.

Secondary targets / back-up targets / transfers unlikely to happen:

                    DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER:

                    Jairo Riedewald.

                    Age: 18.

                    Positions: LB, CB, CDM.

                    Victor Wanyama.

                    Age: 24.

                    Positions: CDM, CM.

                    Ricardo Rodriguez.

                    Age: 22.

                    Positions: LB, CDM.

                    STRIKER:

                    Paco Alcácer.

                    Age: 21.

                    Positions: ST, CF.

                    Edinson Cavani.

                    Age: 28.

                    Positions: ST, LW, RW.

No priority but on the wishlist:

                    Antonio Rüdiger.

                    Age: 22.

                    Positions: CB.

                    Javier Pastore.

                    Age: 26.

Positions: CM, LW, RW, CAM, LM, RM.

                    Mario Götze.

                    Age: 23.

                    Positions: CAM, LM, CF, CM.

                    Isco.

                    Age: 23.

                    Positions: CAM, CM, LM.

The Bundesliga side Hertha BSC, who barely escaped relegation in the 2014-15 season, have announced their new manager and head coach, or head coaches, for the 2015-16 campaign. The Hungarian Pal Dardai, interim manager of the team since February, will continue in his duty for at least two more years, according to the announcement Hertha made. More surprisingly, Dardai won't be The Old Lady's only head coach-manager. Like Bayer Leverkusen in 2013, they also decided to hire two men for the same job. Dardai's counterpart will be another club legend in the form of the 48-year-old Michael Preetz, the club's all-time top scorer.

There are many interesting things about the decision. Firstly, it's very rare for a team to have two managers. Secondly, Dardai and Preetz have played together for six years between 1997 and 2003. Thirdly, Preetz continued to work as Hertha's director of sport from 2009 onwards. It is yet unclear if Preetz will continue as the director of sport but it is suspected that Dardai will be mainly in charge of the on-field performances.

                      Press Conference

Preetz: We at Hertha BSC are very happy to announce that Pal Dardai will continue as the first-team coach for the next three years! As well as that we at Hertha decided that I shall help Pal in his job. I will continue as the director of sport of this wonderful club but I will also spend a lot of time on the training ground talking with Pal and the players about how to improve the team. New signings will be made after both of us agree that they are needed. Now, let's continue with a few of your questions.

Good afternoon, Herr Preetz and Herr Dardai. Why did the two of you decide to work together?

Dardai: As you know, being the head coach of Hertha BSC isn't my only job. I also coach the Hungary national team and I simply don't have enough to time to give my 100 per cent for both teams because I need to do a lot of travelling. Michael (Preetz) and the board wanted me to stay here after my interim spell and he came up with a way that works well. Michael is a great guy and I look forward to working with him more on and off the pitch.

How exactly will you split the work?

Preetz: Like I just said, Pal (Dardai) will continue as the first-team coach and the Hungary coach just as before. The only differences are that I'll join him and the boys in training sessions, in games on the sideline and while he's away coaching his country, I'll be training the guys. Similarly, Pal will have a bigger say on our transfer dealings.

What do expect from this season?

Preetz: We expect financial stability and better results than last season.

Dardai: Last season's finish was very disappointing for every person in this association. Fighting against relegation is something that will not happen again and we can realistically aim for a top 11 finish like two seasons ago. I'm certain that we will able to achieve that with hard work and dedication.

Last season scoring was an issue for the team as the two top scorers got only six goals each. How will you address this issue?

Dardai: We have already brought in Vedad Ibisevic, who is a proven striker. He will surely play an important role for us in the attack and I can see him getting many goals for the team.

How are you going to improve the team's playing style?

Preetz: Pal has done a good job in improving the team in his short spell here and he will continue doing it. We are looking to implement a high-pressing and fast-paced playing style, which will be combined with counter attacks, lots of ball movement and crosses. No matter what team we will face, we will have a working weapon against them.

                      Key Players

                      Fabian Lustenberger

Fabian Lustenberger is not only the captain of the team, playing for Hertha since 2007, but he's also the most reliable defender of the team. Lustenberger is fast, strong, good in the air and a solid tackler, everything Hertha need in their defence.

                      Vladimir Darida

The summer signing of Hertha BSC is already a key player in the midfield. The Czech midfielder Darida arrived from Freiburg and he is already an undisputed starter. He has got the stamina and passing that is needed for a good central midfielder, but Darida also has good vision and a strong shot on him.

                      Genki Haraguchi

Genki Haraguchi is one of Hertha's most versatile attacking players as he can play everywhere in attack. Striker, both wings, attacking midfield, you name it. The 24-year-old Japanese winger also enjoys running at players with his blistering pace and willingness to take them one-on-one. Haraguchi is also a good finisher.

Thank you for reading this post! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated!

The centre of defence is definitely your weakest area with only 2 players so I assume you'll be bringing in some depth there. A young striker for the future may also be a good addition. Is Weiser only on loan? Also who's overalls did you edit? Looking forward to this!

Three players then departed the club permanently. Other younger players left on loan for first team experience.

Sorry for the lack of detail, hopefully it won't be like this for long, the next post will have the end of the transfer window and the first competitive matches. Thanks for Reading!

Ironically, even though EA don't think so, the central defence is one of the strongest parts of the team. In real life, Stark and Lustenberger play mainly as centre backs and now that Brooks and Langkamp are injured, they are starting. Usually the starting partnership is Langkamp and Lusti. This means that I have two good CB's for the first two to three seasons and then I have two great centre backs for the future in the form of Brooks and Stark with both of them having 80+ potential.

Weiser is not on loan, he's a permanent signing and I can see him becoming an important player for me. He's also my back-up right back unless I sign someone.

I edited the two main keepers Kraft (downgrade of 1) and Jarstein (upgrade of 5), I made Pekarik a bit faster, added a couple of stats here and there for Plattenhardt, upgraded Beerens and Haraguchi by one and two respectively with a speed ugrade to Haraguchi and finally, I downgraded Kalou by one. Some other ratings that I'll change include Bale's 87, Alex Meier's 79 (BuLi top scorer last season), Luca Toni's 78, and Adebayor's rating.

Interesting that you decided to sign Paloschi. Klose and Djordjevic seem like good enough strikers. Although, I can see why you wanted to sign a younger striker for the future.

VOTE FOR WHO WILL MANAGE MY NEWCASTLE CAREER MODE!!! (the plan for management will not change regardless, which will include improving the team's recognition in the states and a full international effort with transfers)

Yeah Paloschi was a buy for the future but he can also challenge Klose and Djordjevic for a first team spot right away.
