FIFA 17 OS Community Sliders

Had a few games today as not been at work [emoji4] Played Liverpool vs Hull (oddly next real fixture as well) Hull defended really well, stopped me from playing & a bit of ADD was seen.

scored a screamer from Henderson from 20yrds & in last 10/15 minutes Hull bombed forward trying to get equaliser, at one point they had all 10 outfield players in my half, leaving themselves open for a Liverpool counter. After I scored 2nd on 89th minute they gave up & never tried to attack again.

Played another later me as WBA vs Man Utd, they out passed me all game, went four up before halftime & all were really good goals as well.

This is all without CTT, however WBA game I did see a lot of ADD from cpu, but not from me strangely [emoji848]

It's too early for me to make a final judgement but for now the AI definitely seems to have lost its sting in offense. It's just being too damn easy to dominate and control the opposition, and whenever they break out on counter-attack they hand the ball back too easily, or blatantly miss one unmissable chance after another.

Not sure if this anomaly has been caused or greatly exacerbated due to the patch workings, as i simply haven't played enough games to form a respectable judgement.

Thanks for the info. Thought it was a community Slider thread, and we due to lack of activities filled it with little inconsequential nonsense.

That's just way too much to expect of them, when they can't even get or be bothered to get the very basics of tactical gameplay right.

Yes certainly. But tell me how you would make a team worse during a season ?.

Has anyone noticed that defensive is automatically selected at start of a match instead of balanced? The players right clothes missing? Played a few games with width at 60 was ok something is off tho since the patch and the squad update has done all the jan window signings besides West Ham had to do them manually which was annoying lol so there gonna be another patch lol

Played a few more games, all in Premier League but with different teams & no CTT.

I am seeing less fouls again or is this me??? Did up acc to 50 again, didn't really help with fouls at all.

Took your advice Matt with only making small changes upped marking to 55, also reduced Fullback position to 48 after re-reading OP about it linked to marking etc instead of what it's supposed to be for. This did help with defenders acting like defenders so might be worth looking at that in more depth.

Also say 1860's post asking about Width & forgot you'd mentioned this Matt, last game I just played I used 50 Width & felt the AI just never used wings, everything went through middle.
When I used wings it felt like my player had enough time to build a wall round him before he was in danger [emoji6] (too soon) anyway second half was miles better back at 65 Width.

To be fair I was thinking of upping it from World Class but wasn't sure if this would produce more fouls or less due to AI being better at tackling.

Sorry for the noob question, but I wanted to do some testing without CTTs enabled -- is there any way to do this in the existing career mode, or do I need to start a new one? I recall when I start new career modes it gives me an option to use custom sheets or not.

Yes you can ,If you have a second controller!. Before each match you can edit CTT or choose default tactics.

Aaron458f, I'll just make sure I understand you right ?. All January updates are implemented without your doing anything ?.

Agree there is something noticeable weird with the last update?. But we should play many more matches. I think it's best we find a common path, or jointly decide to test certain values, where is Matt ?. (sorry know you have a life besides FIFA).

It's not just you.
I can't play career anymore cause it's gotten waaay too easy on legendary.
Whenever i laid eyes on people commenting and complaining on how easy legendary difficulty had become for them, i just couldn't take them seriously, until now that i've begun to experience it myself.

What a huge disappointment.

Good breakdown, thanks for that.

So using the FB lower actually helped? I know in previous testing when we lowered the FB, the ADD started to appear, I remember many guys complaining about it - which is why we raised it back up. If this is the case, and now that we see more ADD, maybe lowering it will help less ADD. It is somewhat valid because when you see the outside mid, or back, they are having the ADD occur when they are clearly trying to go mark the FB, resulting in the player with the ball to have free-reign at who to pass to on the sides.

Something I was also thinking is that with this update, we have to approach the whole thing at "how can we get players to 'meet' again?" - because right now, they are not meeting, they are essentially avoiding eachother. This could explain why fouls for CPU are down, and also why there seems to be zero midfield.

I've said it before, but it seems that this most recent update also has the defensive line playing "true" to its value. While I love the concept, I still see the defensive line turning their back ala FIFA 16 and letting players into the box with ease. So, just another thing to look at there.

Don't really feel much resistance, for some reason, from CPU in defense. They seem lost and one-dimensional. It's very strange.

I agree. While it hasn't quite been like FIFA 15, last patch update, where the CPU is going forward-forward all the time, it's still somewhat empty. Ordinarily I'd suggest a 1 pt accel discrep for World Class, but the same may have to be applied in Legendary to give them a fighting chance.

Going to explore some things. Will try to get back in a timely manner.
