Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
After leaving Milan a year ago (Check earlier update) I won the EPL with Arsenal in my first season. Wasn't too hard really. My team was really good, and I brought a lot of young talent with me to Arsenal from Milan.
Does anyone else notice that Man Utd does not buy a lot of players? It may be a money thing seeing as they have huge loans to pay off...but they never buy new and great talent. Seems they promote from within and their players aren't up to snuff. They finished 5th this past season.
Just starting in the year 2013. Lost the community shield for the second straight year to penalties...this time against Man City. Didn't buy too much talent this summer. I brought in a young scottish defender who looks very promising to go along with Toure and my young Czech CB who is going to be on of the best CB in the game for years to come.
In fact, they made a ginormous bid for Bohan which was accepted, but fortunately for me Bohan refused to sign with them.Comment

Check out his height, heading, and jumping.
Also, was just given a $39M transfer kitty after I told the board I could avoid relegation. They also almost doubled my wage budget (from $6.5M to $14M).
Going to immediately look for a striker, as recommended to me by my assistant. Any recommendations?Comment

V.Bojinov can be good when healthy(which is not as often as one would like)
Ukrainian Artem Milevskyi
and Romanian Bogdan Stancu
I'm pretty sure the last two aren't regens so I would advised given them a look atComment

As can Oscar, who has extremely high potential.
Rodrigo Palacio was offered to me for 15 mil. I know that may be too high, but he'd be a great asset to your club.
Johan Elmander and Claudio Pizarro are not phenomenal, but they won't cost much (though Pizarro might be too old).
Tamas Priskin does not have high potential, but he is only 23 and has a 16 in both finishing and first touch.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Wow! Out of nowhere, the board announces a link with Real Madrid. It's very similar to what we had with Arsenal (which had to be terminated when we were promoted), in which Real can send us players on loan. The difference is that Real now have first option to buy players from us, which benefits them and doesn't harm us. They will pay us $173k per year.Comment
