Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

After the recent run that Chelsea has had in the real world I decide to make a run with them in the virtual world to try to make things better. Just finished my first season and did pretty good doing the double for a second straight season and getting ready to play Arsenal in the Champions League Final

I have a question for you FM vets.

Whats the difference between the default kits in the game and the so called "SS" (short-sleeve) kits that you can download off of various websites?

The difference is the "SS" kits include sponsors & correct design/colors. The default kits are just generic (no sponsors).

I would have done the direct download, but reading after user reviews I just decided to order it.

EDIT: After looking over the wikipedia page, there is a ****load of leagues. Are there any in particular that aren't included besides the J'League that I should download?
I should have done that. I did the direct download and can't get it to work. Working with byte shield to see if I can get it working. Also reached out to Amazon about a refund but not sure if they will give me one. Might have to buy the disc version

Amazon might give you a refund. I have found them to be very good over the years.

I've never had a problem with Steam and FM is the only game I have on it. So I just did that again this year. The only thing I don't like about it is that it reminds you how many hours you've played the game. That can be depressing after a while.

I think ezio DL'd his from Amazon. Might be different from steam.

Very excited for my copy to come tomorrow.

I might be wrong, but if DL from amazon, you still have to activate on steam. Ezio did you activate it on steam?

It uses byteshield on the DL from Amazon. Not sure if Steam uses that or not but everytime I try to activate it Byteshield crashes.

I talked to Amazon today and they refunded me the money for the DL so I ordered the disc verison from Amazon. It was the same price other than the shipping.

Well after falling to Man city to start year 2 Arsenal has won 8 straight and find themelves in first place. We have a tough stretch coming up though :

                                4th Manchester United (a)

                                2nd Tottenham (h)

                                3rd Chelsea (a)

all in a row too. If i get 4 points out of this stretch ill be happy
