Last game of the season. I'm home to 20th place Valladolid. Real Madrid is away to 16th place Zaragoza. I just beat 2020 league champions 6-0 and its looking like Barca are in serious danger of not qualifying for Europe for next season. Weird, weird season.

    EDIT:
I won, but unfortunately so did Real Madrid. I'll take 3rd place.
Barca drew, but Sevilla got thumped by Getafe, so Barca will in fact be playing in Europe. I was kind of interested in seeing what would happen if they weren't...

A Kiko Femenia red card in his last game with the club (letting him go on a free) put Los Rojiblancos in a precarious position, but another brace from Ronaldo was enough to see the boys lift the trophy. It's our third time beating league winners Malaga in the Copa Del Rey Final.

Park the bus, turn on the counter-attack, and hope for 0-0 or steal a 1-0 result. If I can keep a deficit at 1-0 into the 2nd half, I'll press for an equalizer. If you go in guns blazing against a good team on the road, you're asking for trouble.

            So contain, defensive, or counter?

I use counter on the road.

22 games in, sitting at 4th behind Bayern Munich (11 points ahead), Leverkusen (8 points behind) and Dortmund (3 points behind) I caught the injury bug. Lost my striker for 6~7 weeks, AMR for 2 months, AML for a month and top back up CB for 2 months. I have solid backups but can't afford to lose anymore of my guys.

Also won't be without my starting CB in the second leg between Aston Villa in the 1st knockout round because he got a red card. Finished the first leg 0-0 on the road so I need the win at home.

Edit: Beat Aston Villa 4-1, my backup striker scored a hat-trick Drew CSKA Moscow next round.

Edit 2: Now my star CM gets injured for a month while on international duty

I use counter as the overall strategy on the road when I'm not favored. Then if I find they are getting behind my D in the first few minutes, I'll go with drop deeper and play narrower. Also, if you have a fast striker, set him to poacher and use get ball forward.

PSG offered $38M USD for Gerard Deulofeu. He's valued at $20.5M (somehow) but his attributes aren't too great and he's only 2.5* CA/PA. I think I have to accept it. He's been a loyal servant to Almeria since I picked him up on a free 7 seasons ago, but I have to cash in; this is the most I'll ever be able to get for him. Is it bad that I'm invested enough in a player in FM that I feel bad transferring him?

The reason he's valued so high is because he has very good ratings for an attack-only winger. But yes, I'd take that money, and no you're not the only one who gets attached to FM players

"He feels his agent deserves a more generous fee for his services." No, I'm pretty sure it's his agent that feels that way.

What kind of training do you guys use? I've tried messing around with it but I keep getting the message about players being unhappy with their training workload.

What an absolutely ridiculous loan offer...$17M for one season??? Geez.

                            EDIT:
Second friendly of the season I lose my starting AMC for 5-6 weeks and my starting RAM (Deulofeu) for 2-3 months soooooo it's looking like I can't accept this loan offer. Plus Maio is an absolute animal...15+ assists and 10+ goals every season.

So, I got my AML back but lost my starting AMR for 5 weeks. My workload is at high too, just gonna patch work through this year.

Got Donovan on a 3 month loan to cover while Gervinho is on ANC duty.
