I don't think any of them have been made for smaller resolutions yet. But you might want to give the CFM one a shot. Its the only one I was able to use below 1920x1080 properly, so it might work on what you need. Not sure.
I think my resolution is below 1920x1080, and yeah so far the CFM skin is the best one I've seen.

Vitrex was all messed up on my laptop.

But with the city/stadium pics downloaded, I'm quite liking CFM right now.

Yeah I'm using the CFM one myself until Wannachup puts out his final version.

Okay, I'm going to try real hard to stick with a long term save this time. Starting over in Ireland with Wrexford youths. I seem to have this grass is greener issue all the time. I will avoid that this time by not having any of the other leagues playable.

I got too frustrated with my save in England and decided to do the San Marino Challenge

If rest of the season goes like my first game, it's going to be great

Good grief there is SO MUCH to do/learn with this game.

It really does make CM in FIFA feel SO inadequate.

If you guys sit down for say an hour or so--how much game time do you get through? I feel like I can play for an hour but only get through like 1 week of time, lol.

Perhaps I have too much 'background' info coming at me?

When I first started, it was really slow. However, I have two careers that I've been playing for 10+ seasons and a spreadsheet for each career keeping track of a lot of things. Now, even if haven't touched the save in 6 months, I can jump in and probably play 2-3 games in an hour, unless it's a key transfer window time.

The time it really slows down for me is transfer windows and just before a new season. That's when all the team selections, individual training, and tactical instructions get tweaked and re-saved. If you spend the time doing that at the beginning of the season, it will really save you time as you move through the season.

Also, starting a new save/taking over a new club takes a ton of time for me. Probably 2 hours to advance a week.

And yes, FM ruined console sports games franchise modes for me.

Is there a way to edit the way your manager looks after you start a save? I set mine up before I started my save and didn't realise that my custom manager reverted to the default look until I was several weeks deep into my save. It's not a big deal, but I'm pretty sure I saved my manager correctly. Might this be a bug?

When you guys create your manager, do you set his attributes relative to the league you're managing in? How do you determine how to set yourself up?

I have only really messed with Arsenal, but I think I'm ready to start playing in the Aussie A-League (Sydney FC) and work my way up to (hopeful) prominence.

I got NYCFC thru CPU random-select in my current career and my gawd, MLS is a bit confusing. So many drafts to contend with! Then there's the whole Generation Adidas, Senior Player, Designated Player etc etc. It's been a bit of a curve in-terms of transfer dealings, but I'm getting to know more about MLS than I ever would from anywhere else simply because I haven't really desired following the league.

I already had a boneheaded move in the off-season. My guy Mix Diskerud has been one of my best CMs but apparently I lost him in the expansion draft. I think I protected my DPs and overlooked him; will someone please school me on this? Are DPs even worth protecting during these drafts?

Maybe this is the route I should take as well. I've kinda wanted to get into the MLS, but I just can't for some reason. Maybe FM will help me open that door.
