I'm just glad the Summer is almost over and we can get to the point at the start of every season where this team gets all our hopes up. It happens every year like clockwork.

    In Arsene we trust.

In Arsene we trust for one more season. As far as I'm concerned, if we don't win anything this season, Arsene has to go in lieu of a manager who will actually spend to make the team better (all this could change, however, if a defender comes in and Arsenal have a great year, but as this present team stands, they are not good enough to win anything beyond the Carling Cup, and we saw what happened there last season).

To get to the CL proper you have to go through Udinese. First leg at the Emirates on the 16th of August. Second leg on the 23rd.

I think we'll be able to handle that. Avoiding the Russians was the top priority.

Reports are that we rejected Barca's latest ridiculous offer for Cesc. £29 million + £6 million added on later. Looks like we're holding firm, which is nice to see.

Saw this at Vital Football. Take it as you will:

The media guru's at L'Equipe declare today that Arsenal's Samir Nasri has an 'agreement in principle' in place with Manchester City ahead of a 22 million euros transfer...

L'Equipe reckon 24 year old Nasri and his representatives are close to being given the green light to go North by Arsene Wenger who has softened his stance over the talented midfielder's wantaway status. The Arsenal gaffer was unimpressed by Nasri's showing in the Gunners friendly draw with Boca Juniors.

Wenger is waiting on the outcome of the pursuit of his own midfield targets and 'Fabregasgate' before giving the French international the nod.

            More as we get it...

No I would look @ Marvin Martin!

He's cheap (as of now). And he'll probaly doulbe by next summer!
And he's pretty much the same size as Mata!

Did you mean Marko Marin? Or were you making a joke and referring to cartoon character Marvin Martian? Either way Mata would be the better buy, even for a higher price.

It's always seemed more likely that Nasri would go instead of Cesc. Plus, when you look at how the way the club handles things, if we knew we would let Nasri go, we were never going to make it very public and just say come and get him. At this point, I say we gladly let him go as his attitude will only get worse as the season progresses and it wouldn't be long before he's walking around the pitch with his head up his ***.

I also might be insane, but I still think we sign a CB before the window closes.

If Nasri goes, do we sign anyone? We did bring in Gervinho and we now have a full fit Ramsey.

Do we need a CB? Absolutely. Do we need to bring someone in to replace Nasri? I don't think so. To replace Cesc if he goes? Yes.

It's really 50/50. On one hand, he's recovering from injury and just returned to training so it makes perfect sense for him not to travel. Not out of the ordinary at all.

On the other hand, it could in fact mean a transfer is imminent.

My gut goes with the first hand.

I know Sahko's out of the question because of PSG pulling a Man City, Samba is 50/50, and Cahill is now out of our price range. But what's going on with Neven Subotic. Know he's expensive but how expensive?

Not sure on price, but it would take a lot for Dortmund to part with him. Plus, I have a feeling he wouldn't want to leave.

I know Cahill is expensive, but if we sell Nasri, I'd be more than alright with dropping all of it on Cahill.

"I do not want to speak about the transfer of Fábregas because I have done that for three years now in every press conference, so I don't think there is any more need to add something," said Wenger. "I love Fábregas and I want him to stay. He is just coming back from injury and is not ready to play in a game. But he is not injured."

He has to slowly be going insane considering he's been dealing with it for the last three years.
