Great win 4 points back with a game in hand is nice as long as we take advantage of it...despite all the injuries, the team is winning.

I know we've lost against United and Chelsea, but I will say we've not dropped as many points as they have against the lesser lights of the Prem

Cesc did come off injured again and I hope it's nothing serious...

Didn't watch the game, but how bad was Cesc hurt? Did he re-injure his hamstring?
Don't you EVER read my blog? It's gotten a lot better.

I don't think it is that serious. He probably will miss the midweek game. But I think he will miss a week or two out that most. That is just pure speculation on my part.

Concerning what he injured, he seemed to be favoring his knee but he was probably just flexing. It looked to be another hamstring aggravation.

Wenger said he wasn't sure, but it could be a recurrence of his hamstring. At least he said he's targeting a striker though....I wonder if he'll finally bring in Chamakh. Only issue with him is the fact he's cup-tied.

I love Fabregas He's the best

Yeah, we played great. Except Eduardo, who should have put us up 1-0 but instead missed from point-blank range. Wenger seems to still have faith in him, but Eduardo's really testing my patience right now.

Eduardo has been getting chances which he wasn't earlier on this season. I can only hope he finishes the chances he creates for himself....

That's been my problem. He hasn't been finishing (or even coming close most times). I'll still give him some time, but he needs to start impressing more, and soon.

I don't think its that Wenger has faith in him as it is his only other options are Vela and Walcott.

I agree. Other than Walcott and Vela, Eduardo's it for striking options....which is why he opts for Arshavin instead. The biggest thing about Eduardo is that he hasn't really gotten over that broken ankle mentally. Until he can mentally push that out, he won't be the same cool and dangerous striker Wenger signed 2 years ago.

I really really want both Walcott and Vela to step up. They have too much talent not to work out for Wenger. Walcott needs to stop getting hurt and Vela just needs to play football

On another note, Cesc says he's focused on Arsenal and not going to another team lol

I actually dont think its the injury I think it all stems from the massive media hubub following his dive for a penalty against Celtic as he's shockingly low in confidence, normally Wenger would stick him on the bench and when we stick 4 past a team bring him on for a run out just to build confidence and nick a goal

looking back to last year who would of thought id be on tenderhooks for Bendtners return from injury?

It must frustrate him that he has to keep saying this. It seems like every week there is a new story about how he has "Barcelona DNA," and every week he puts out a statement denying it.

In fact, I think Barcelona might be hurting their cause in trying to get him by constantly releasing these statements and quotes, as he may just get too fed up with them.

Arsenal won, but it was to be expected considering how bad Portsmouth has been this season. Ramsey is looking better and better, and some of Arsenal's spells of attacking possession were scintillating, even without Fabregas in at CM. The only complaint I had was the poor defense on the late goal they gave up, but luckily it didn't have any effect on the outcome of the match.

Ramsey is awesome What else is there to say about this kid? He would start for a lot of teams in the Premier League. He's going to be a star for sure.

Didn't like the lackluster defense, but we've won again to keep pace with Chelsea and Man U. Looking forward to FA Cup this weekend

I don't think he will buy. He has said that despite the fact that everybody tells him he needs a striker, they have scored more goals than anybody else, and I think we'll be hearing the Bendtner as being "like a new signing" talk when he is unable to find a cheap, non cup-tied striker. Because we all know Wenger won't be spending a lot of money if he does decide to spend.

And it's unfortunate because with the tough string of games at the end of January heading into February, I think we need a striker.
