    ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***

The finish by Ceballos was unreal. Pepe/AMN were playing well on the right side. Bellerin/AMN/Pepe in the future?

There seemed to be criticism of Henderson, but he was not helped at all by his defense. I guess they were all expecting a cutback, but Ceballos was just left to have a one-on-one with the keeper and he made them pay for it.

I'm just glad to see AMN get time in general. Pepe did seem more involved today than on Thursday, that's for sure.

An absolute must win due to where they are in the table on Wednesday—no way we can come away from a match with Norwich without a win if we want to have any type of momentum going into an absurdly difficult stretch.

At least Arsenal got the most important part of their off-season done, y'all signed Bukayo Saka to a long term contract.

Incredible news, honestly. That's huge business that needed to get done.

Also, even Ornstein is now talking about Partey—I still don't believe it.

Huge match against Norwich today, and I say huge because the upcoming fixtures and we must win against this Norwich side—we must. Why? Because they're a bit ****.

Norwich allow 1.8 goals per match—56 goals allowed over 31 matches, which is second-worst in the league. Their xGA is 55.96, so they're not even unlucky, they're just not good at defending.

Norwich have scored the fewest goals in the league, 25, and they have the third-worst xG at 33.36. So, perhaps a bit unlucky there, but still not good.

They're middle of the road in terms of how often they press, so it's unlikely they'll sit too deep against us—I'm looking at you, Pepe. They do allow the third-most passes within 20 yards of goal, though, so they're happy for us to have the ball in their area and not do much with it.

My point? On paper, we win this easily, so in reality we should win this and make it look ugly, but it would still be a win.

Saint-Etienne are pissed at us for not coming to an agreement to extend Saliba's loan. The Arsenal story is we wanted him to follow specific training and to remain healthy, but Saint-Etienne would not agree to it.

So, it seems that he's now training with Arsenal for the remainder of the season. Works for me.

Edit: Read more, my goodness. If the loan were extended, we'd owe Saint-Etienne an additional 2.5m due to a clause in the original transfer. We wanted that dropped if he were to return to play, but Saint-Etienne would not allow it, so he's remaining in London.

Okay, quadruple post because the coffee has kicked in.

Our interest in Partey seems to be real, and there has been a rumble about Upamecano, who let's not forget, we were attempting to sign last year—that was real.

Yes, we just signed Mari and extended Luiz, but there's no way we're not looking at moving Sokratis and possibly Mustafi again.

Saka kit will likely be a purchase this year—assuming he sheds the dreadful 77.

Thrilled he’s committed. As was stated above, very encouraging a player with his potential is willing to “trust the process”, as they say.

In what I'll consider positive news, Mkhi looks set to stay at Roma through next season, which would also be the end of his Arsenal contract.

It was unlikely we'd transfer him in a good deal, so to know the entirety of his wages are off the books for the next year is definitely positive.

I think I read it saves them about £11M.

Looks like it’s gonna be a 3-4-3 in attack, and a 5-2-3 in defense, plus a Reiss Nelson Cameo.

Lets talk Ozil for a second. To my knowledge, he’s not injured. Seems like he’s getting the Guendouzi treatment.

Ozil is getting the “please leave the club” treatment.

Really glad to see Reiss Nelson getting a chance to start.

Norwich players seem genuinely surprised that the whistle is blown when they commit a clear foul. It’s as if they watched the Brighton match and assumed they could foul at will.

Ceballos is doing circles around them and their kicking the **** out of him—still.
