We still control our own destiny.
Not sure if that's a good thing though. That was a pathetic showing.Chicago Bears

re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
We played terrible, but CR also played pretty good. Every time one of our guys tried to dribble, there were two players in red closing them down. Which left us resorting to chipping balls into the box for scoring chances. Not good.
Pulisic got welcomed to CONCACAF football tonight with all the hacking going on. He better get used to it, I doubt Honduras will be much different.Steam: BahnzoComment

"We didn't make any plays that mattered."
That pretty much summed it up Bruce.

Not good at all. Should have been awarded a penalty but I just don't think this team is all that good especially in defense. Is there a decent goalie coming up through the system?Comment

Final 3rd just wasn't clicking tonight. Too many chances wasted between Wood, Jozy, and Pulisic. Disappointed in th Ream-Cameron partnership. Both fell asleep too many times at the back. Howard also has to do better on that first goal.

I thought Howard was out of position on that one.Comment

re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
I had to work all day yesterday and was super excited to get home and watch the game last night after I got off work. Damn, what a letdown. I don't remember the last time Cameron played that poorly, and Team wasn't much better.
I'd like to see Jordan Morris get the start in Honduras just because his motor never seems to stop. I doubt Arena changes much, but I definitely don't want to see Bobby Wood in the Starting XI. He's been pretty good for club, but it's been awhile since he really impressed me for country.
It's crazy how much difference a couple months make. It was all positive after the last two WC Qualifiers, but it's all blah after last night. Thankfully, Mexico did us a solid by beating Panama and keeping them below us in the table. I suspect we'll find a way to qualify, but it's no sure thing. And getting points in Honduras is never an easy task.

I love Howard, a lot, but a good keeper saves both of those shots last night and he is no longer a good keeper.Comment

We have several good up and coming keepers. I love Tim Howard, but it's time for him to step aside.

I just don't know enough about Horvath to give an honest take, but I've heard good things.
I do know Bill Hamid is a better goalkeeper than Tim Howard right now. Guzan hasn't really been superb for Atlanta yet either. I would like to see Hamid get another shot.
