I imagine Caleb Porter or Tab Ramos will ultimately get the gig, but I have a feeling that the USMNT might doing something crazy and hire this guy:

    Spoiler
5-3-2, low block, counterattack with speed.

We do have the players for that.

They were always going to wait until after the World Cup to start the search. It only makes sense to wait until the possible pool is filled with managers that get canned or leave.

I see it was a 3-0 victory. I'll have to check out a replay - missed it live.

I would rather just get one now. I see the logic in waiting, but don't really agree with it.

Things like that make me wonder why does Bill Hamid keep getting opportunities? Feels like he's been the "next big thing" for 5+ years but he's only got what, 5 caps? He's always looked shaky to me.

He was pretty bad. Every cross sent in made me nervous.

Healey and Twellman are great. Is it too late to give ESPN back the World Cup?

Bill Hamid’s time has already come and gone. He really cannot be our keeper going forward.

Also, Weah looks a lot like the player everyone hoped Zardes would turn out to be.

He looks pretty good. I like how he's never afraid to take a defender on. Makes really intelligent runs too.

If I knew what a national team GM was, I'd probably be more interested.

Based on what I've read, the National Team GM is basically what Jurgen Klinsmann should've been. Overseeing team selections at every level, overseeing development and development procedures, working with the coaches at all levels to both win and work towards the futures. Basically look at it like a Director of Football, but instead of actually acquiring, you're simply eliminating people from the pool. It's not glamorous, but with Americans becoming more and more spread out, and development tracks being all over the place, oversight will probably do a lot of good.
