I agree, he's a hell of an athlete. I need to go to Frisco this season to see him in action.

I've heard so many idiots claim Mex was tired from winning Gold at the Olympics....This Mex team was nearly full strength. Props to U.S., Mex had only a handful of clear cut chances, and we were w/o our 2 best field players in Dempsey & Bradley. I'm not saying the US outplayed Mex, but it wasn't like we completely lucked out...we played well enough to stay in the game.

Side note, Cameron was great. Glad we finally have a surefire starter and CB, now we just need to find someone to play next to him for Brazil.

Yep. Make no mistake, there was a reason Mexico fielded a full squad last night. They never want to lose in Mexico to the US. "****ing friendly" or not, that was an unexpected and embarrassing loss in Mexico's eyes.

Well, the Texas Rangers Baseball Club. I have no European Football favorite. Shea plays for FC Dallas and I live here in the metroplex. However, it takes about an hour to get to the pitch from where I'm at so I rarely go.

I wish the Hoops would play a few games at Cowboys Stadium. There are rumors that they are trying to move closer to the population with a new place in Grand Prairie.

Mexico was missing 2 top, key players in Salcido and Dos Santos as was USA missing key players. Definitely not just a friendly in the players and coaches eyes, but in the technical, grand scheme of things it was just a friendly. No points, no qualification on the line. Thank goodness for that.

Yup, was embarrassing especially considering the stats. USA got the one stat that matters most though. Mexico should have just fielded the U23 Olympic squad.

I'm still baffled as to WHY Mexico agreed to this friendly. I mean, you have a HUGE home field advantage in Azteca, so why even give the US the CHANCE to get a positive result for the first time and have some confidence going into the next time they surely meet in the Hexagonal? Just doesn't make any sense in my opinion.

dunno some things you can only learn by playing against other players or teams. watching film doesnt show you everything. both teams have each other sized up now and know how far the gap is between each other. who cares if you lose, you gained so much more information for the next match.

us team knows what they need to work on to make the win more decisive. mexico knows what they need to fine tune. if they player sooner than later, i have a feeling it will be an epic game.

Credit it to their willingness to accept a challenge. Applaud them for not huddling in corners and making safe decisions according to over-calculated risks.

So about 10% of the population will have a chance to watch them on TV. Sweet.
