It's better than the usual situation, when the host country sells it to some PPV company and you have to pay $25+ to see it...

That's true, at least I can go to a bar with DTV if I want to see it.

good game so far - Jamaica are playing pretty fierce. The given up goal was pretty crappy.

So far Dempsey is all over the place, and Edu is getting on the ball a lot. Liking the game - but I'm cringing everytime Deuce gets tackled :/

Jones and Beckerman should never, ever start for us again. They aren't Ricardo Clark bad but...ugh...

I'm okay with Jones - not Beckerman though. He is so solid for RSL, but in the USMNT; he chokes. Jones is a work horse - he is tricky and is creative. He doesn't hesitate to show his creativity like Beckerman seems to do.

With that said, this was an ugly loss. Their free kick was sublime though - deserved to win it. Jamaica played very dirty, I think the ref let too much get by - it was pretty bad. Brek Shea needed to come in earlier imho - he didn't play well, but he needs more warm up time and 15-20 mins is not enough.

Can't wait for Tuesday to seek revenge though.

I was not happy with anyone's performance, including Howard, who was poor and got beat twice.

Klinsmann has to do better too. Poor game management and poor tactics to start off. The team was hoping for a 1-0, 0-0 scoreline. Looked like an Alex McLeish team.

                          Oh, please.

A deflection and a world class free kick.

                          Yeah, all Howard's fault.

Even without those goals, he was a step late getting out on balls and his distribution wasn't all that great off of kicks and throws.

It just wasn't his typical Howard-like game.

You were implying that the reason he gave up two goals was because he was poor. If the first goal goes straight into the wall and the second is just a standard free kick, we're looking at a routine shutout for him. Jamaica didn't really threaten much. Howard was not the problem.

He wasn't the problem, but he wasn't good either. The only reason I singled him out was because he played uncharacteristically poor tonight. Feel free to disagree.

Altidore was pure ****. Gomez was okay but didn't have much to do. Shea and Boyd came on too late to have any real impact. Dempsey played below average, but to be expected because of lack of fitness.

The midfield was pretty bad. None of them could keep possession, Beckerman can't pass, the other two were decent ball winners but not a threat offensively. Jones was giving up cheap foul after cheap foul and lost his cool. Johnson was okay.

The defense wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't good. Not a very strong partnership in the middle and the flanks didn't attack like they should if we were to play that narrow in the middle.

My biggest problems were the tactics, team selection and the lack of push back that the US gave. Klinsmann got outcoached, IMO. To me, it was just a very poor coaching effort that matched a very poor playing effort on the pitch. No doubt the better team won tonight.
