I was kind of hoping we were done with Guzan for good.

Yeah, it's crazy. He's decidedly middle of the pack when it comes to American MLS goalies. If you were hell bent on using his spot for someone from MLS, there are numerous other options.Comment

I think it's probably Steffan's spot right now.
I remember reading they wanted to give Guzan a few more games just to get a proper goodbye on his own, but idk how reliable that article was.Comment

Other than still Brad Guzan for some reason, yeah.
Also, my hype for Darlington Nagbe has subsided quite a bit in over the last year or two.Comment

re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
A lot of the players have spoken very highly of Brad Guzan's presence in the squad, so I assume he's there for that reason. When it comes to actual competitive games, I expect Steffen to be in goal.Support Local Sports

re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
Reality is, he isn't as good as any of our current options.
He doesn't even have a real position. He can play both as a winger and as a cm, but he's not better than any of our real wingers or real cms, especially now that we are using the kids we should have been using before.
I like Nagbe, but he really is just a decent depth player if we need one, and even then, we've got more kids in both the winger and cm departments ready to come through the ranks.Comment

re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
We had a good 20mins to start the 2nd half but apart from that it was pretty bad and should have been worse if the penalty on Guzman was called.
Callum Wilson ran our backline ragged with his movement/runs.

Not even mad because TAA scored and he needs all the confidence he can get.Comment

If we turned down Lopetegui so we can hire Berhalter...let's get the torches and pitchforks ready.Comment
