We looked much better with Morata and Cesc out there, really should have put several more goals past Southampton though.

Man I love Willian and I'm glad he stayed, but he's so frustrating sometimes. Well more like half the time. I feel like it's a coin flip with him basically. You either get the Willian that slows down every counterattack and can't pass a ball to save his life, or the Willian that ruthlessly burns his man and drills one into the back of the net. No real in-between with him.

Anyway, I still feel we need one more forward to compete with Willy and Pedro, somebody that is great with the ball at their feet to help take pressure off Hazard and push Pedro and Willian to perform. Mahrez would be great, but since our latest MO has been to sign younger players then somebody like Malcom/Martins/Pulisic/Lozano would do the job as well.

Here's to hoping United get Pardiola'd tomorrow.

I actually think the guy you'll bring in this January to help up front will be Alex Teixeira.

Is this based on the fact that he is currently being linked with Liverpool?

Agreed with Willian. There's no player that kills attacks quite like Willian. He seems to always be either a split second late with the pass or just flat out makes the wrong pass which is unfortunate because he has the ability to beat defenders 1 on 1 and he still possesses an insane burst of pace although probably not as lethal as it once was.

I'm intrigued by Malcolm. I admittedly didn't know too much about him until this year when oddly enough I chose Bordeaux as my team in FIFA so I began watching them when I could. He has an incredible burst of pace and a wicked left foot.

Hopefully Michy & Charly get run-outs tomorrow. Maybe even young Ampadu too.

I saw that, and if it's true he wants to come to England in January, you're actually a better fit at the moment.

Malcom is definitely pretty intriguing because we haven't had a dangerous left-footer in a long time, also feel like we've been lacking at least one prominent attacker who is dangerous from distance for some time now as well (though Pedro can definitely hit them).

Wouldn't mind one of the younger candidates being linked to us, but ex-Shaktar players in the premier league have a great track record so I'm game.

That was just cruel by Eden and Morata at the end.

Lee Mason was his normal horrible self. That no call on the Kenedy sombrero flick was terrible.

He's right there too, I mean that would have been one of the easiest penalty calls he'd have to make for a while.

Glad we still won after that, wonder if we will field full strength teams vs Arsenal or not.

Yeah I think it just depends on the fixture congestion at the time. I think I saw the dates being towards the end of January which means, yay, more fixture congestion. I hope Ampadu gets another run out. Despite that early poor challenge on Defoe he was excellent, especially considering he was in the middle and aside two subpar passers. Played 90 minutes on a yellow too.

Speaking of yellows, cmon Morata! You have to stop getting these dumb yellows. Missing the last few matches because of his back and now Everton on the weekend because of mostly frustration cards is immature, albeit very Costa'ish. It means we'll probably see the Hazard, Willian, Pedro front 3 next match.

I did read a great comment on WAGNH regarding Willian and his ability to kill counters:

"Willian gets motion sickness very easily. Everyone must be still in order for him to pass the ball."

If we play Hazard, Pedro and Willian as the front 3 vs Everton then surely Michy is on his way out right?

I’d bet a bitcoin on those starting tomorrow but I don’t think we sell Michy in January. Probably next summer for sure though.

I definitely don’t think we should sell him, but we’ve not had a problem in the past selling players we should have kept for depth reasons.

If we get a decent offer and there is an alternative, I could see us selling in Jan.

Sure would be nice to have a player that compliments Eden.
