I’ve been lurking on the Roma boards to see what the consensus is about these Emerson & Dzeko deals and they’re more upset over Emerson. Don’t get me wrong, they hate losing their key striker but they have a lot of faith in this kid from Sampdoria, Schtick.

He’s coming off ACL surgery but he can return to his form pre-injury than we have a steak on our hand.

I'm thrilled with Emerson more however, reports coming in Dzeko will be playing tomorrow for Roma.

Also any news on Barkley getting some play time tomorrow?

Emerson could potentially end up being a fantastic signing. Unknown how he will recover from his ACL surgery but he's young enough that it could end up being not a big deal (Dave was 21, around the same age).

Emerson was a monster last season, and is very well-rounded so he'd be able to play as either a wingback or fullback if we swap to a back 4.

Dzeko I'm fine with as well, Morata could use a little competition to help push him to the next level.

Plus Dzeko can actually do hold up play here and there where as Morata... you might as well be passing to the ghost of Torres out there.

Morata’s hold up play is fine, the problem is he always chooses to go to ground trying to win a foul instead of continuing to actually hold the ball.

If he stayed on his feet his hold up play would be great.
