It's a hard injury to come back from mentally as well, not just physically.

CHO has a ton of pace and that kind of injury can make it hard to trust your own body even when you are fully fit.

We're taking too many matches for granted by leaving points out there. We really should have widened the gap between 4th & 5th by now.

For a team that was so historically good at set pieces we've been awful at defending them since Mou 2.0/Conte.

Think we haven’t won at St James in a long time, but this definitely should have been it.

They weren’t even trying to play soccer at any point, and their goalscorer was one of their worst players on the day rofl.

Genuinely comedic, our attack needs Pulisic back and someone that will do better than Michy off the bench.

Honestly, that's the perfect game for Alonso. The only defending he really would have to do is on set-pieces which is good for us because we get an extra big guy in. It also frees up Reece for more of an attacking role and hides our biggest weak-link in attack, Dave playing out of position at LB.

Won there last season actually. But yeah, before that it was 2011.

That was pretty embarrassing honestly, but at the same time I feel like we need to keep reminding ourselves that we are overachieving for the season still.

Our manager is in his second season of management, we are fielding largely a bunch of kids, somehow we are still in the CL and in a position to make top 4. These growing pains were always going to happen.

I mean look at Liverpool, as much as I hate to say that. Even after multiple seasons people were still comparing Klopp to Rodgers and discussing how much better he actually is, and whether or not his project would ever get all the way off the ground. Then everything sort of clicked, and they went from 75 points to 97.

Obviously not saying that will happen to us, but I just don't see why we shouldn't give Lampard 2-3 seasons to see we can make of it. It's basically the one thing we've never tried, and now is the best time to do it. Short term thinking has cost us multiple times in the past, where we could have put together long runs at the top but never really had the plan for it.

Things have been a bit rough since Christmas time, but it will swing back around again.

Oh I’m not mad at Lampard at all.

Today hit on nearly every emotion as a footy fan, good and bad.

For the first time since Burnley and Spurs away we played well. Willian and CHO were dangerous and whipped in some good crosses.
Emerson sent in some quality balls too. The midfield was strong and defensively we didn’t have to do too much.

And we still gave up 2 goals [emoji2363]. A Kante slip and a nicely curled shot by their RB on his weaker foot. I thought Kepa should have saved it though and I can’t even blame Emerson. He showed Bellerin to his weaker foot knowing he had help but it just so happened that his help was playing on one foot for like 15 minutes.

Somehow because 2-10 in the table are all capable of wtf matches we’re still sitting 4th. I just wish we would have widened the gap some considering how mediocre the rest of the league seems to be lately.

Fingers crossed for Tammy and we might need to start looking at keepers [emoji102]

If I didn’t see this in here, I was going to say it. In the context of the season, you lot are doing fantastic.

That draw being a great result for us and a terrible result for you, especially given how the game went, says a lot about where each club is right now.

We’re beginning to show microscopic signs of progress and you’re defying expectations and setting a higher standard for yourself (rightfully based on results) than anyone expected you could.

                    Yeah exactly.

I think the fact that this was supposed to be a throwaway season, and we have ended up in a position to finish in the top 4, is messing with people's heads a bit. Mine included.

In the end, we just need to give Frank time and support. I mean look how long it took Klopp's Liverpool to finally click.

If you would have told me that we would be fourth in the beginning of the year I'd be happy.

If you showed me the film of how we've dropped points I'd be upset.

Soft goals conceded nearly every match.

Yeah but honestly we are just very inconsistent right now, and we are overly reliant on some young players who are also trying to gain consistency.

Also one of our best players has been injured for several weeks.

He’s kinda on 3 teams books right now

                            Chelsea
                            Gala

Newcastle game pissed me off and Arsenal result even more. Michy should have won that game at the end. No confidence and poor finishing.

Also woke up and looked at my phone, first thing I see on my phone is after 24 days, Chelsea finally sign 3! Got excited only see it was sponsors. Nice trolling by the official Chelsea app.
