Re: The Beautiful Game Thread
Marcelo Bielsa has resigned as manager of Lazio after just two days in the job, the Serie A club have confirmed.
The 60-year-old was officially due to start in his new post on Saturday having been appointed as Stefano Pioli’s replacement at the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday. However Bielsa has had a change of heart, living up to his reputation for eccentric behaviour in the process. He walked out on Marseille after just one match of the last Ligue 1 season.
“We note with amazement the resignation of Mr Marcelo Bielsa … in a clear violation of the commitments undertaken in the agreements signed last week,” Lazio said in an official statement released on Friday. The club are considering taking legal action against the former Argentina manager, and have appointed former striker Simone Inzaghi as his replacement.

Re: The Beautiful Game Thread
gah Inzaghi. Firing Seedorf and hiring Inzaghi was one of the latest in a long line of dumb hirings/signings by Berlusconi/Galliani. Can't wait until the Milan sale is final. Glad to see him land somewhere though. He just wasn't right for Milan.HELLO BROOKYLN.

Re: The Beautiful Game Thread
There are own goals, and then there are own goals . Minnesota United goalkeeper Sammy Ndjock produced one of the worst ever during a friendly against Bournemouth on Wednesday, bizarrely throwing the ball into his own net...
Note the Bournemouth player laughing his *** off.

FFS, I knew that would find its way here.
Our keeper has made some truly boneheaded mistakes this season, but obviously that takes the cake.Comment
