    Re: MLS Discussion Thread

1-2-4 is not an ideal way to start the season for my Toronto FC.

And the club is at war with DP Jozy Altidore who has worn out his welcome. There are stories that he could be even dropped from the club after the international break. His trade value at his salary is nil.

With the club stuck in Florida, it's going to be a season to forget.

You know it's going to be a terrible season when you get blanked by Cincinnati.

Toronto fired their coach. Can we fire ours?

Ok now Atlanta has sacked their manager too

And we’re down 4-0 in the first half to New England

As most of you are MLS fans, I'm sure you do this, but Matt Doyle's Armchair Analyst columns are wonderful: https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/la-ga...om-mls-week-19

Also, I'm still reveling in last night's victory for Seattle. If you didn't see the game, it was bonkers.

Seriously considering getting ESPN+ just to hear Ray Hudson call the Inter Miami matches. Strange times.

ESPN+ is the best streaming deal out there for a number of reasons. It's more than worth the price tag. Ray Hudson followed me on Twitter, so I'm always partial to him anyway! Haha

I wrote that after TFC lost 2-0 to Cincy on June 26. Cincy then went 0-5-7 until last night when they played TFC for a second time this season.

                    And Cincy won again 2-0.

Just a calamity of a season for my dudes. Fewest points we've ever had after 23 games. There's got to be a total house cleaning after the year ends.

That's how you end a playoff game.

                        Re: MLS Discussion Thread

I see the top-seeded New England Revolution didn't bother to crush their fans hopes by losing a sixth MLS Cup Final. Went out in their first playoff game instead. It's almost an insult to the Buffalo Bills to call NE the Buffalo Bills of the MLS.

Lots of upsets in the playoffs so far but I'm not sure I'm a fan of the one game playoff format for each round.

I definitely prefer the two-leg format for playoffs.

I haven't watched much MLS this season, but I've kept up with standings throughout. I plan on watching the Final today, although I feel for Union not being there after being ravaged by Covid last week.

TFC looks like they're signing Lorenzo Insigne.

I dont know much about soccer, but people seem to be saying it's a bigger deal than Giovinco, so that's big for them.

He'll have to be a major star for TFC for it to be a better deal than Giovonvo ended up being, but the signing itself is definitely much larger! Insigne plays legit minutes for Napoli and played major minutes for Italy in Euro 2020 recently. I've heard they're going after Belotti too.

As bad as they were this year, making a major signing like that combined with a 3rd overall pick in the draft does seem like they could turn things around fairly quickly.
