Re: The 2014-15 EPL Discussion Thread
I think LVg is doing a reasonably good job in a somewhat bad situation.
That backline is a shambles...the midfield is a clusterduck...the frontline is stitched together.
United should give him two more years to get a squad of his liking...right now, they have a galacticos squad, in some ways, with the typical lack of team cohesion and positional sufficiency that often rears its head in such situations.Australian Rules Football...just sayin'Comment

Re: The 2014-15 EPL Discussion Thread
I agree, with the talent on the field if lvg puts the players in the right position means we should be fighting for the title. The only place I see an issue where we need a world class player is on defense because I dont trust jones, Evans, or smalling at all. That's what's been said about United for the past 2 decades and a half. Winning/getting a result when they shouldn't -- a trait that we lost last year. A number of our performances have been painful to watch at times, but the results do speak for themselves.
Flair will come in the future (I hope). Just goes to show how spoiled all United fans are who've only seen them play in the Fegie era, including me, though there was the stretch between 04-06 where United played like **** and SAF was thought to have "lost it." It's been a transitional 2 years, but this year looks to have a more solid foundation.Last edited by NightRaven3; 03-05-2015, 05:49 PM.Comment

United are going to play them as well. Yes, they are in way better form compared to United, but those matches are usually tight no matter how good or bad one's form is. Except for Arsenal. Here's hoping they remain braindead when it comes to facing United.
All the teams in the race for top 4 are still in control of their own destiny, but hey, go on ahead and count us out!
Man, 90% of the time that you mention United, it's **** talk that's not even funny (and I appreciate good banter about the club I support) nor something worth having a discussion over.
He's on a 3 year contract. I fully expect him to see that through no matter what happens, and it would be a mistake on our part to do otherwise. His past speaks for itself, so it's not like a Moyes situation wherein we truly didn't know how things would turn out if he were kept.I think LVg is doing a reasonably good job in a somewhat bad situation.

No PL games, what am I supposed to do with my weekend? Watch Arsenal find even more ways to lose to United?Comment

Re: The 2014-15 EPL Discussion Thread
Haha it's **** isn't it? QPR v Spurs as the only PL game today. No others due to cup day. This is what we have to deal with every other cup day since the board claims a cup run isn't worth having...
Managed to sort out my footie fix today though, Bradford v Reading cup game, then a Bundesliga simulcast of Hamburg v Bor. Dortmund and Hannover v B. Munich, followed by La Liga, Ath. Bilbao v R. Madrid.Comment

Remember the 'Good Ole Days', under Moyes, when Manchester United were capable of winning silverware?
