Re: The 2017-2018 EPL Discussion Thread
I'll never understand why teams that are looking the better side, switch tactics. Watford were taking it to Chelsea and then went defensive and let Chelsea back in it.

Not sure what you are talking about, we outplayed them from the first minute to the last.Comment

At some point you have to expect that talent is going take over and start to influence the game. Watford had a chance to bury us and go up two goals but Richarlson botched two sitters. To me, that's the biggest takeaway from matches pitting up clubs from the opposite side of the talent spectrum. If & when you get your chances you to have bury them. Watford does that today and we're dangerously close to crisis mode in West London. Instead it's 4-2 and we delay that narrative.Comment

Kane!
That's an example of a play that I just loathe in soccer, though. The Liverpool defender is standing there looking for offside, as a ball is played in to one of the most dangerous goal scorers in the world. He's just standing there completely stationary with his hand in the air, until he realizes that offside is not going to be given.
Just ****ing run and the ref will call it offside if it's offside. He might have gotten there to prevent a goal if he would have done that.
But, with all that said, I'll take it. 1-0 Spurs!University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Hockey

As long as Poch stays, I think Spurs will continue to improve. Poch has said he wants to stay for a long time and is excited about the new building coming. Hopefully they can all stay together for years to come.
And since I know someone will reply about trophies, I know it is all based on if they win trophies in the next few years. [emoji12]

Sportcenter has a great cut of Klopp on the bench.
It was the look of “I’ve been on the piss for the last 8 hours and why the **** am I still at the pub?”
While I’m on my drunken diatribe, well played Everton!!
All that quid spent and you’re still on the level of Stoke and West Bromwich.

Ownership-wise, they're all just about even, though perhaps Palace is a bit below the others.Comment

Definitely Everton—the squad should be in better shape considering the money they spent, but if it was perhaps the job wouldn't be open right now. Someone should be able to take them over and get them up to 7th by the time the season wraps.Comment
