Just like that Arsenal are only five points out of fourth place. Nice try, Spurs and Liverpool, but it's going to take more stumbling than that to give us actual hope.

Re: The 2017-2018 EPL Discussion Thread
I love Sanchez, and I think he's a pretty good player, but £500,000/week? If that's truly anywhere near what Utd are actually paying him, then good for him, that's a robbery right there.Support Local Sports

Think it’s closer to 350, I kept seeing sources adding his signing fee onto his wagesComment

Re: The 2017-2018 EPL Discussion Thread
LOL that's so BS. No way he'd get paid higher (over 50%!) than Pogba and totally shatter our wage structure.Comment

Yeah, I think the 350 number is closer to the real number, but either way, insane wages, and Wenger was right about Sanchez having the opportunity to cash in on himself.Support Local Sports

Can I just say how much I'm loving these Wenger press conferences lately? Man has not given a **** when it comes to answering the media and has been making good points.
Latest example.
You celebrate some teams who've not been in a final for 25rs, yet kill us even though we have won the FA Cup 3 times in 4 years.Comment

Not saying there is anything wrong with that btw.Comment

Re: The 2017-2018 EPL Discussion Thread
It's definitely BS but you guys definitely don't have a real wage structure at the moment. Maybe you will in the future once you guys get back on top, but right now you guys are a massive pay-day and your club is clearly willing to pay most players whatever wages they want.
Not saying there is anything wrong with that btw.
Just drawing from the past 5 or so years, Rooney has been the highest paid (~300k) followed by Zlatan and Pogba when they arrived in 2016. If we didn't have a structure, then the latter two should have negotiated for higher wages based on their production compared to Rooney's prior to their joining United.Comment

He’s spot on with that one. The Arsenal trophy drought was daily a daily story for years, but it’s interesting how a few other clubs don’t get the same treatment. Instead they’re lauded for the way they approach the game, by attacking, etc. but they do not seem to get the same criticism for their lack of winning anything.
Oh well. Don’t want to start the day too salty.Comment
