I always think the same when I see WBA's Kyle Bartley.

It really does look like he glued on hair after getting a haircut. Someone needs to tell him it’s not working.

Wayne Rooney officially hangs it up today.

Always hated him at United but seeing him play for my hometown DC United made me really appreciate how good he was/is.

My wife and i got to see him play in DC when we were there two years ago. Was a special moment. He wasn't moving around much but you could see just how intelligent of a player he was.

          Legend.

It's a real shame that Rooney will always have that weird cloud over him where there's this weird sentiment that he didn't live up to expectations, like we should be disappointed he ended up being just a generational talent instead of an other-worldly talent

It's hard not to think about though tbh.

His problem was that he was an exceptional all-around talent, so he could be thrown into multiple positions and play well.

If he had the luxury of playing his preferred position his entire career, I think he would have been even better than he was, which is pretty crazy to think about.

SAF was an incredible manager, we will probably never see that again in this sport, but arguably the only knock against him in his career is that his use of Rooney as a utility player prevented him from reaching his full potential.

I've been aboard this train for a while lol. Rooney WAS an other-worldly talent.

It was odd seeing him trod around the midfield, knowing that while yes, he could create, the further he was from goal the more comfortable I was seeing a team I support play against him.

I think it's absolutely fair to call him an otherworldly talent. I only really got to watch him regularly past 2011 so I missed the real golden years.

Lmao at Wolves losing one of the biggest rivalry games to Sam Allardyce.

Imagine buying half of Portugal to still lose your local rivals managed by Sam Allardyce.

I guess you could say that Sam knows how to handle those pesky Europeans.

Yeah I think the only knock on Rooney was fitness issues later on. He got a lil chubby but one thing that goes unnoticed is how unselfish he was. He frequently made way for guys Bernatov, RVP, Zlatan, Tevez, etc... to play in those 9 roles but when he had a chance to play as 9 he killed it.

Ashley Barnes with another typical tackle of his. And then instantly subbed off.

Leeds have to do a team bonding hair cut before matches. The amount of shaved man buns and sculpted cuts is other worldly
