Good move by him. His "free year" is 2013, so there's a very good chance that either he'll have played well for Milan and have a new contract by then, or be playing for another team. That's a smart move, as it buys him some love by the team and fans.Comment

That headline made me nervous the first 300 times I saw it as the lead on Sky. Now not so much.
If he goes, he goes. Whatever the case may be, we will be getting a huge fee for him. But I've long ago stopped worrying about the Sky headlines, which feeds off the 99% garbage that is the Spanish press, especially Sport and Marca. Well Barcelona has come out and said that the ball is in Arsenal's court regarding Cesc.
That tells me that Cesc wants out. As that is a total change of the strategy that Barcelona has used to try to unsettle Cesc in the past. I'm guessing they going to make Cesc try and force his way out on his own which would also serve the purpose of lowering his transfer fees.

Cesc is probably my favorite player of all time. And I told myself that I would support whatever club he went to as long as it wasn't in England.
