    Re: The Transfer Thread

I'm surprised that Ribery went to Bayern as I thought he'd go to the EPL, but whatever. I'm glad that Hargreaves went to United though As a fellow Calgarian, I am proud that a kid would be able to play Premiership football for one of the big clubs...

United do need another striker though and I'm not sure that will happen before next season starts. Rossi might be a good option after he played well at Parma while on loan last season

I like Rossi but I'm afraid the EPL might be too physical a league for a small guy like him.

Milan is trying for Henry, Eto'o or Drogba. I'd be fine with any of them

I'd say Eto'o and Henry are more reasonable. I don't see any way that Chelsea lets Drogba go.

I'd be so pissed if Drogba left the EPL, I like being able to watch him almost every week on FSC.

Aliadiere isn't bad, but he wasn't going to get a regular place with Arsenal so he's better off at Boro. Besides, Arsenal have some upcoming strikers that have a lot of talent like Vela

Who would Man Utd sign for a striker?
They have not been the same since Ruud left.

I agree - United have not been the same since Ruud left since Saha gets hurt too often, Smith is crap, and Ole is too old to play every game. IMHO, they will likely end up getting either Berbatov or Torres. Huntelaar may be an option, but by the end of the summer, I think Berbatov would leave Spurs to join United.

They scored 83 goals last year, 19 more than anyone else in premier league. Yeah they're really struggling without Ruud.

They wouldve done a whole lot better with someone like Ruud.
There are only a few good teams in the premier league, the rest are trash.
It's easy to score goals against crappy teams.

Note how they couldnt score a single goal at AC Milan.

So one game means they're a bad scoring team? What about the three they scored on Milan the match before, or the SEVEN they scored against Roma. What about the fact that only scored 58 and 72 goals in Ruud's last two seasons there but 83 this year. Or how they were booted out of the Champions League last year in the group stage with only 3 goals in 6 matches, but this year they made the semifinals without him.

I watched 90% of all the Man Utd matches, not just the ones on TV, and they did not miss him at all. Im actually a Ruud fan but and he doesn't fit the way they play anymore. They need a more versatile forward, who's faster, passes well, and can dribble past defenders. Like Louis Saha but more consistent and much less injury prone.
