You obviously didn't watch the game. Walcott came on and had a great scoring chance right of the bat.

I did watch most of it.My point was that if these guys are supposed to be the future why can't they crack the starting 11.Obviously I was not aware of Wilshere's injury

Can't crack the starting 11? Hahaha. Let's say you didn't know about Wilshere's injury. Did you not see one Arsenal game last year when he became a fixture of the starting 11? Apparently not.

Walcott used as a sub was either Wenger didn't want him to play for long, or he felt he'd be better of the bench in that particular game.

I'd comment about how good can he be when he's not starting but Boas left Drogba on his bench allllllong time today.

Exactly. You can't judge things from one game. Walcott became a starting 11 fixture last season, as did Wilshere (as was noted above). And even if Arshavin starts this year over Walcott, that says nothing about Theo having a lack of ability. Wenger may just think he wants Walcott's speed coming in the 2nd half when players are tired and it can be really exploited.

Might as well get this over with. Not too shocking and it was done by using some of the cleanest and classiest negotiation techniques in the history of the sport.

There are much worse things that could happen.

Plus, I'd rather not qualify for the CL this year if it means we do for next year.

Ugh, that picture makes me ill.

I'll never cheer for Barca, but I'll never root against Cesc. Best of luck to my favorite player.

There have been many figures thrown around. Now that it is finally done and dusted, how much did he actually cost?

I read somewhere 29M upfront and then 10M later, but I don't know how accurate that is.

What about $ from Fabregas himself? Did he actually pay part of the fee himself?
