    ^that sounds sensible...

I read (in an article posted here? idk) that Bayern were quite explicit with him about the fact that they had no plans to use him next year.

    That sounded silly...but, still.
    Australian Rules Football...just sayin'

Arsenal have apparently activated the release clause in Vardy's contract. Maybe this will go better than that time they bid £40,000,001 for Suarez.

            I don't believe it. There's no way that's true.

Arsenal's style of play certainly doesn't make for a good fit.

As a Hannover supporter, I am super bummed Ron-Robert Zieler was sold to Leicester. But I understand its hard to keep players like that when you get relegated.

It's an absolutely abysmal fit for both sides. Plus we all know what happened last time we signed a striker who had the season of his life and won a league title.... We got Oliver Giroud... Sigh

If going big on a striker means we can't get the CB we need or Ricardo Rodriguez so be it. We got to get goals and especially when it matters. Giroud scored 24 in all comps last year and we all could see he just isn't good enough. He'll be a great super sub and when we need him in certain matches, he'll be fine. But we can't count on him to hit 20 in the league and 30+ in all competitions. Let's not even get me started on Theo. He was more useless than wet socks on a cold day. Can't believe he's on £130,000 a week. We have the best number 10 in England last year and maybe the best in the world (if you keep it to pure number 10s) and are wasting those crazy chances he creates and sees.

Bottom line even though Vardy was world class last year, I don't know many Arsenal supporters who'd be happy with this signing.

Yup. We did the same thing with Kante. Used Him to get our real target which was Xhaka Flocka Flame. Even though I would have been happy with either. Kante is quicker than Granit and slightly a better tackler. But you can't touch Granit's range of passing, technical ability, fight and leadership on the pitch. Can't wait to see him paired with Santi deep. We'll be able to control matches way better with those two together.

Vardy to Arsenal makes zero sense on several counts.
                                1. Arsene signing a striker who is about to turn 30 and had one great season.
                                2. Signing a striker who thrives on running into space—space which does not exist with how Arsenal will continue to play. Vardy will be rendered mostly useless as we try and walk it in.

I'm incredibly skeptical of this actually happening. Arsene does things now and then that don't make sense for him, but this really does not make sense for him.
