Madrid pulled outof the Mbappé "race", Perez said they can't guarantee a starting spot and they are set to sign Sandro from Malaga to be Morata's replacement, also BBC are all staying. So it's just between us and Monaco now. Oh the joy if we could sign both Mbappé and Lemar.

Re: The Transfer Thread
Perez also said they aren't even in negotiations with United for Morata and that he hadn't even heard they were looking to sign Sandro.
There isn't really a true race to sign Mbappe anyway. He's going to RM at some point. If he doesn't go this summer, THEN there could potentially be a race to sign him for the brief period he waits to join RM.
The "race" doesn't even start until RM makes an official announcement that they aren't signing him, which they haven't.
From what I can tell, from the actual reliable sources that have reported on the subject, there is a pretty real chance he could get bought by RM this summer, and then loaned back to Monaco for one more season.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
You should know by now there aren't any certainties in football at all. Real Madrid are in the exact same position next year anyway, Benzema hasn't even hit thirty yet, Ronaldo still has a few good years in him. Aside from that, Asensio and Isco will want to start too. To assume Real Madrid decides everyone's faith is pretty ignorant of the fact he wants guaranteed playing time, with his father especially looking out for this. Okay, it's his favorite club, dream club, yada yada but only fools are blindly led by dreams and Mbappé and his entourage don't look like no fools. It's 50/50 between us and Monaco for now.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Would he even want to go to Arsenal? No Champions League and most likely no title challenge. Compared to CL with Monaco and a very good chance at the league again. If he does want to go to Real and they don't bid, I don't think it's extremely unrealistic that he stays at Monaco.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
It's amusing that people are trying to find reasons why we won't sign Mbappe, it's just not going to happen because it's Arsenal.Support Local Sports

I'd be shocked if Chelsea don't give him a chance. He's been nothing short of superb, and could use the step up in pressure.Support Local Sports

Re: The Transfer Thread
From Sky:
CHELSEA SEAL £33M RUDIGER DEAL
A deal has been agreed for Roma defender Antonio Rudiger to join Chelsea, according to Sky in Italy.
A medical will take place on Monday with the Blues set to play €33m, plus €5m add ons, for the player.
Roma need to sell before end of month to comply with Italian Financial Fair Play.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
That's a bit of a steal in the current market for a player of his quality.
I'd definitely take Rudiger for 33m over VVD for 70+.Comment
