Leipzig add Jean-Kevin Augustin from PSG. Sounds like they're done, but we have 1 more month of Keita/Forsberg/Werner to XXX rumors to endure before it can be said sure. All in all, adding 4 young players will be a nice boost now that Leipzig is playing in the CL and hopefully won't get upset in the first round of the Pokal again. Sure, Leipzig's offseason doesn't hold a candle to Bayern's, but it was going to take an unlikely confluence of events to challenge them domestically anyways.

I cant believe they sold that kid but PSG loves to sell young talent like him and Coman. Really good prospect who should be good cover when/if Werner leaves next year. Him and Mbappe tore up the U19 Euros.

Did they put in a buy-back clause?

Also, with Alves going to PSG it means that Aurier is available. He wore out his welcome there with all the off-field shenanigans but he's a top 5 RB.

I didn't read anything about a buyback clause, but that doesn't mean there isn't one.

It would suck to lose Werner, but between Augustin, Poulsen, Sabitzer, Burke and Bruma, we have attacking talent up front covered. Losing Forsberg or Keita is much worse, since Leipzig isn't quite as deep in the middle compared to the back or up front.

Kyle Walker to Man City for £50m or so is looking like a go, perhaps.

            Milan is reloading!

            Bonucci
            Chanalogou
            Andrea
            Andrea Conti
            Ricardo Rodriguez
            Andre Silva
            Kessie (loan to buy)
            Borini (loan)
            Mussachio
            Niang back from loan
            Donnorumma resigned

Good to see. Footy is better when the San Siro matters.

....my mind can't take this. I guess those stories about the Juve in CL final were true.

Also, Biglia becoming official happened today as well.

Plus, Milan might just land either Aubameyang or Belotti. It's glorious.

                Re: The Transfer Thread

Signing Belotti or Auba would be interesting as well because Milan would be joining PSG in giving UEFA and their FFP the middle finger.

I mean, with their rich new owners it would almost be worth it really.

Make an assload of high quality signings that should immediately put you in contention for CL spots with possibilities of causing trouble for teams in Europe. In exchange all you have to do is pay a negligible fine and play in Europe with a 22 or 23 man squad for a single season.

                  Great article relating to this:
Kyle Walker for £50m? Collective madness has gripped the Premier League

He's the best RB in the league, he's being sold to a direct title rival, good age, he's English and homegrown.

Outside of England he'd still be in the 30-40m range, so if you combine the above points then his price tag isn't that surprising.

£50m for Gylfi, as much as I love him, is far more ridiculous. Like I said, I get the point of the article, but there are better examples he could have used. Michael Keane with 1 decent season at one of the worst clubs in the league has the same price tag as a guy who played for Benfica and won 6 trophies, has already played in the Champions League, is a starter for his national team and a U21 Euro Champion. Somebody paid 15m for Jordon freaking Ibe.

I'm curious to see what Spurs do with that cash and any money they make if they sell Dier (which I'd do too). Are they going to change their wage structure to accommodate players who cost 30-50 mil?

Crystal Palace signed Jairo Riedewald from Ajax for £7.9m. My knowledge of him only comes from FM, but he's crazy versatile.

And I wouldn't even let him go for 3x that in my FM save, but that's a thought for a different thread.

ESPN's twitter is saying it's a done deal and he's gone. Meanwhile ESPN FC just published an article saying PSG are "ready" to swoop in and trigger the release clause. So dumb. Wake me up when it actually happens.

It's almost certainly either A) Neymar trying to get a new contract or B) PSG telling Barca to **** off from Verratti.

Last time Barca tried going after one of PSG's players they were about to trigger Messi's release clause. A few whispers even suggested that they actually DID trigger it, but both clubs agreed to keep it quiet.

Either way, Neymar has put in so much work at Barca, and with Messi now getting older, Neymar is going to be the main man in the attack. Even if Messi makes the move everyone expects him to, and drops deeper into midfield as he gets older, Neymar will still be the focal point of the attack, so he won't really be in Messi's shadow.

He's waited this long, it would be kind of silly to just toss it all in the trash for a team that regularly bottles themselves out of the CL and can't keep a bunch of kids from stealing their league title.
