For team specific stuff I always look for local journalists, particularly those who are actual fans. A great one for Liverpool fans is usually Tony Barrett who comes from the city, but he now works for the team so I doubt he will be released info anymore

Do you know if he 'passed the torch' to someone? He's gotta have someone he'll be leaking stuff to if he can't do it himself.

Until your boy Woj starts covering footy your guess is as good as mine.

We all kinda just sift through the BS until like Kreb says, the official club twitter page welcomes them showing the photo of the holding up their new uni.

I guess Bernardo means David's days are numbered. Silva on Silva crime.

If he stays with 4-2-3-1 I think it'll be David as one of the two and then Sane - KDB - Bernardo Silva

I don't know much about Silva honesty. I remember hearing that he was THE golden boy on Monaco before Mbappe blew up in the Champions League.

He's a pretty strong technical player for his age correct?

Hot rumor is that Liverpool are going to go after Naby Keita. Yes please.

The newspaper he worked for originally, the Echo, has James Pearce who works closely with the club so he could be good value too.

For what it's worth, I don't think Barrett was a leaker he usually just reported on certain links.

Silva was their best player even after Mbappe blew up. He's a phenomenal player, I'm legitimately jealous of this transfer.

He will probably rotate with KDB and Silva rather than play out wide. Pep likes his wingers very very speedy and Bernardo is nowhere near as fast as Sane/Sterling. Not to mention Sterling was one of their best players this season.

Same guy that broke the Silva transfer is now reporting that full back Benjamin Mendy will join City for 50m.

                    City literally harvesting Monaco.

Douglas Costa to Spurs! You heard it here first... obviously wishful thinking but it could happen, right?

He's out of favor at Bayern so it could happen. Would you want him though? He's a very one dimensional winger.

For an extra 10 million you guys could probably get Lemar who is arguably better already with a higher ceiling.

Because we don't particularly need another semi-fast player with ball skills. We have plenty of those... Dele, Kane and Eriksen aren't exactly the fastest players in PL. Son and Lamela has some pace but they aren't forceful enough on the counter attack. Lamela used to be, though... maybe he'll come through.

Seems like Levy wants Lemar, though...

                              Yeah fair enough.

So who would be ideal then? Somebody like Brandt that can do both?

                                Re: The Transfer Thread

I've tried to figure out who Spurs can realistically get who will strengthen the first eleven... but I fail to find a single starter who needs replacement without spending unreal amounts of money. So if we got some raw pace and strength up front, that guy might realistically challenge Son. On the other hand, if we play 3-4-3, Son is usually 2nd in line anyway, except when Dembele is having trouble with his feet. We don't have any aging issues anywhere in the squad... so I guess I should be thrilled but it worries me that we might splash out more money on absolutely no progression in terms of strength. Width shouldn't cost a lot of money, though.

We do need a right back that can challenge Trippier if Walker leaves, though. Any suggestions? As Trippier's crosses rivals Eriksen's I don't particularly see anyone who can realistically just waltz in ahead of him. He is average in defense, though.
