I hate to rag on the game further, because I do like it, but that crap with taking you out of a bunker and putting you on the fairway is just absolutely unacceptable and EA should be ashamed of themselves for being so blatantly lazy with that.
The whole point of a bunker is to penalize you and give you a challenge to overcome if you end up in one, nevermind that it doesn't really do that anyway with the overpowered easy mode pick shot for greenside bunkers and fairway bunker barely having any effect on club effectiveness at all.

Should just need to search the game in the store and you should have “Start Trial” as an option

I don't have too much hope for it being addressed soon, but they do seem to have quietly addressed the above/below feet not mattering much so I guess anything is possible. It's a lot better now, if the ball is 10 degrees above me on a 200 yd shot it goes like 20-30 yards left which it should. Not sure if it's enough on short shots though, and we are still prevented from getting extreme 20+ degree lies because the game seems to move the ball away from those. We need more stance animations lol.

One more thing on the rough, it does feel like I have less control of my shot coming out of it and it's easier to mess it up, so there is that penalty at least. If only the lie penalties could be penal enough as well.

They def ninja'd that in. Last night I was playing and I had a perfect swing and the ball took off right. I was like wth??? I went back with the share feature and saw the ball was well below my feet. Never really had to account for that before.

For sure the best you can do. I think it was assumed by another that my impression implied that the game was too easy. I just want to clarify that until that was brought up as a response no one had mentioned difficulty at all.

I haven’t had issues making it hard, just that I see no definition based on where you hit it. Other than pot bunkers, there isn’t a single lie that alters your opportunity to hit the green from your tee shot (that does NOT mean I do it - it just isn’t because of the lie).
