Nike's club makers were truly top notch.
I wish I would've gotten a chance to check it out. But again, I think they didn't do enough to actually translate all that they were doing into getting the clubs into golfers' hands.

The last few club cycles from Nike have been top notch. Some clubs were on par or if not better performing than leading competitors. It's the swoosh that pushed people away from an amazing product.

Like I said, the Nike Golf team were very passionate about the equipment they put into players hands. Such a shame on what happened but business is business.

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Have my 1st round since vacation tomorrow but the last 2 days my left wrist has been sore. Tried holding a club yesterday and had zero strength.
Didn't try today as it still feels sore. Hopefully tomorrow it will be better or may have to scratch the round

Pretty sure I hurt it after taking a body slam wave on vacation. Didn't think much of it until yesterday...

It's amazing how much further the ball goes when you hit your driver without a stupid fade.

Golf thought of the day.

76 rounds in the books. Index is 11.2, handicap at my home course is 13.

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Got another round in today. Played one of the nicer courses in are area, bit tougher than where I've played the last two weeks. Insanely humid out there this morning too, but I put an 86 down on the card today. A 41 on the front, 45 on the back. I struggled big time on 10 and 11, then got my game back on track. Wasnt for those two holes I probably coulda gone 41, 41.

All this again while spraying my R15 all over the place off the tee again. So frustrating. I picked up a TM Aeroburner driver from my brother to try out. He's got about 4 different drivers in his garage that he keeps winning at work, and he rarely golfs. Maybe a simpler, easier to set up and hit driver will help me out. Think I'm going to take the R15 to a local pro/lesson guy and have them fit it and adjust it to me and my swing rather than me constantly fighting through all the settings.

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

So I went to a PGA Tour Superstore today. Wow. I could have easily spent 3 hours in there. Giant putting green, all sorts of flat sticks (even the top shelf ones. Scotty, Bettinardi.) All of the big club makers had their own fitting booth.

For 99 bucks, you could get you whole bag fitted by a pro in special area testing a whole bunch of different clubs, shafts, etc).

Definitely considering getting the pro fitting (they called it the tour van experience) in the future.

Oh yeah, and I'm also going to the 1st round of the Barclays in two weeks, weather permitting. My father was able to get free tickets, being retired military.

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

I finally got my new golf shoes from my family for my birthday today. If the Nike Lunar Control 4's are anything like my Lunar Control 3's, I'm in for a real treat.
