I just saw that someone on TGCT forums went through and compared the stats of the new Mizuno clubs added via the Clubhouse Pass. Here's the post:

It basically says that the Mizuno clubs that have been added offer no "pay to win" incentive, as the Mizuno sticks have the exact same stats as other clubs already available in the game. All the rewards in the Clubhouse Pass, then, are strictly cosmetic.

I'm trying to size this whole thing up...and I just don't know if I understand why they went the "Season Pass" model. I mean, I know "why" - to make more money. But I don't get the plan with this.

Don't get me wrong - I've been clamoring for new gear, and this gives us that. But putting shirts, hats, sunglasses, and Mizuno clubs mostly behind a timed paywall, when they present no new additional features, enhancements, or anything of worth is weird. It's literally all cosmetic, and the new clubs have the same attributes as other already available. They just look different.

With so many issues still plaguing this game (online multiplayer problems, the exploiting of red fast swings, Xbox One and Xbox Series X tempo issues, career mode insanity), adding cosmetics that we must pay for makes no sense whatsoever.

I am not against them selling additional items. I get it. I do think they need to fix bugs though which they are slow on. I do think they should upgrade the PS5 and X series graphics and framerate.

But I honestly don't understand what they are selling here. Why would I pay money for what they are selling? Just cosmetic items? Give me Augusta, Pebble Beach, St. Andrews course pack or something like that and I could see some value (even though there are some nice recreations).

They won't... because of the TGC Tours. That's why everything is always cosmetics. Without all the TGC Tours switching to the new games, they would lose a lot of customers.

Its all about the $$$$ fellas & the name all they did was put PGA & 2K on it & that's it & even @ 50% off black Friday I still pass on it, it's all ah money grab right now because nobody is playing it, I'm still playing Tiger Woods PGA tour 14 not perfect but its better then this*
