Islander's OT Victory Forces It To Game 4

It must feel good to score a hat trick.

Game 3 Highlights
1. Midway through the second, Kovalchuck scores on both spectrums of the special teams.
2. Weight makes good use of a two on one odd man rush.
3. Alfredsson gets on a breakaway and makes it 5-1.
4. Hedjuk outwits 3 players (not including MacDonald) and makes it 6-1.
5. Hunter scores the Islander's second goal, but it is too little too late.

Game 4 Highlights
1. Comeau opens up scoring season.
2. Foligno comes back and ties it at the beginning of the second.
3. Kovalchuck makes it 2-1 to end the second.
4. Mid-way through the third, Park ties the game.
5. Sim scores the OT winning goal. Poo

GM's Thoughts: We were ten or so minutes away from the Stanley Cup finals. Actually, as one-sided as game 3 turned out to be, we played like **** in the first period. Then DiPierto fell asleep, and we demoralized them with two shorthanded goals. Apparently, DiPierto woke up for game 4, and they played a great blue-collar game to keep the series alive. Although, In my opinion, its more like flogging a dead horse.

Ottawa Finishes Series In 6

He was making saves like this all day long in game 5.

Game 5 Highlights
1. Bergenheim finally breaks through and beats Elliot with a wicked wrister.
2. DiPierto stones a one-timer and the rebound with two amazing diving saves.
3. Zetterberg scores by banking it off of the crossbar, then Dipierto's back and in.
4. The games goes to overtime and DiPierto stops 5 shots in 20 seconds by the 4th line.
5. Halfway through OT 1, Sim one-timers one past Elliot on a 2 on 1.

Game 6 Highlights
1. Spezza scores on a one-timer from Alfredsson.
2. Spezza scores on a one-timer from Heatley.
3. Hedjuk wrists one past DiPierto.
4. Hennessy blasts one past the netminder.
5. Spezza completes the hat trick with a powerplay goal.

GM's Thoughts: There was little we could do about game 5. DiPierto did a headstand, and that was it. However, because of it, he was very fetigued for game 6, where we got our vengeance. The OT goal was the fault of our defense, and the other one was the fault of Elliot. Now we get to play #1 in the west Calgary in the Stanley Cup final, after they beat #2 Columbus in 5 games. This will be interesting, as they were one of the few teams to beat us in regulation in the regular season.
