****, nice streak and defeat over the Hurricanes. They are on a tear, and I can't wait to see if other changes are coming.

Montreal Canadiens officially retire Patrick Roy's #33

(from right to left) Patrick Roy, Carey Price

Right before their game against Boston, Montreal retired Roy's #33. Drafted in 1984, he played in Montreal from 1985-1995. During the time he was there, he won 2 Stanley Cups. Both times he was the Conn Smythe trophy winner. Ironically it was Rejean Houle who traded Roy in 1995. Roy was traded because he and then coach Mario Tremblay couldn't get along. Roy was traded to Colorado where he went on to win the Stanley Cup that season and again in the 2000-01 season. At the end of the ceremony Jacques Demers told Koivu that it's his turn to bring the Cup back to Montreal in front of the Bell Center.

Patrick Roy

Patrick Roy: I have very fond memories of playing in Montreal. It's too bad how things ended up in 1995. I am to this day very appreciative to Rejean Houle for trading me
to a contending team for the Stanley Cup.

Rejean Houle

Rejean Houle: He deserves to have his number retired, he's a legend. I just feel that trade wasn't bad. At the time Jocelyn Thibault was considered a top goaltending prospect. Martin Rucinsky got 60 points in 56 games with us. Andrei Kovalenko did good. Ultimately I think that I would of rather of kept Patrick. Some things were out of my control and unfortunately it happened that way.
