Wings scratch one out in Quebec!

Quebec - Quebec City. The forgotten land to the north. Once had a promising franchise. Then They were gone. Now 19 years later they're back. They however would fall to a early Henrik Zetterberg OT backhander.

Z's goal was a beauty folks. From the corner circle, skates to front of Ward, and while holding off the defender naps off a backhander to beat Ward.

Interview with one of the American youngsters, Al Panek. "It felt good. You know, to be out there on a professional rink. Not a bad start if I may say so myself. My first career NHL assist. That one's going on the mantle."

Cup Preview?

Boston, MA - Already just a handful of games in and we already see a potential Stanley Cup Preview. This would be a very physical game. In the 2nd period, Justin Abdelkader would put a hard hit on Riley Smith. Daniel Paille took exception and challenged Abdelkader to a fight. "I don't know what his problem was. It was a clean hit" says Abdelkader. Brendan Smith would go on to say, "Yeah. It was a good hit. Hopefully Riley is ok".

The rivalry continues!

Detroit, MI - It doesn't matter where these two teams play, that hatred will always be there. That statement rang true tonight. Late in the 3rd period, winger Radim Vrbata would take an extra whack at the puck afer the whistle blew. The Red Wings' Dany Dekeyser would take exception. "You just shouldn't do that in the game. This team isn't going to allow extra shots on our goaltenders. We won't stand for it. Nobody should." Whether it's Phoenix or Seattle, looks like this rivalry isn't going anywhere.
