A little too many trades for my liking but it's your dynasty, not mine.
Detroit robbed you.
yeah, it's impatience on my part but I wanted them :P trade deadline too far away!
Cant put together packages as they do in the NHL with this level of player unless your taking long shot prospects honestly, Mantha and any 1st was over Giordano's trade value

I personally prefer to keep my BeAGM's a little realistic haha. Calgary wouldn't ever trade Giordano, he's in talks to win the Norris this year and he was last year as well.
Your team should be interesting to follow, hopefully you don't purposely tank for McDavid though.

Perhaps they wouldn't, very familiar story isn't it.
No, as the "GM" said I expect to play competitive no purposeful tanking. As it stands my position in the league remains the same as it has this entire season from 25th to 20th I've been hovering.

Can't wait to see how you play with the new squad man!
The Calgary flames looking to move forward with their recent acquired players matched up with the Pittsburgh Penguins, pushing the pace of play Calgary jumped out to an early lead and had the Penguins down three goals heading into the middle of the second when a terrible bounce would end up past Ramo. The Penguins never looked back from that.
Paajarvi and Clifford combine for the first goal and their first points as a Flame
Clifford on the goal: "It was nice to put one in right away, helps you settle in you know? No I didn't see the trade coming but it's apart of the game.
Never been traded before but it makes you feel good that there was a team out there that scouted you and made a move specifically for you, all I can do is be myself and play the game I play, show them they were right to get me"
Lines VS Pittsburgh:
Mason Raymond - Sean Monahan - Sven Beartschi
Johhny Gaudreau - Sam Bennett - Anthony Mantha
Magnus Paajarvi - Bill Arnold - Kyle Clifford
Patrick Maroon - Max Reinhart - Lance Bouma
T.J. Brodie - Dennis Wideman
Chris Butler - Rapheal Diaz
Kris Russell - Ladislav Smid
Coach Hartley on the effort:
I thought we played a strong game that had two unfortunate bounces against us, without those bounces we win 3-1 but we will take a point out of it. The guys we acquired played well, it's funny how sometimes things like trades go right to the legs of your squad.
It's not fear, it's just excitement. The guys were ready to go and we pushed them back on their heels for a period and a half, then those bounces went in and we unraveled a little, stopped skating.
Overall this was a positive game, still teaching moments and things to learn but it was good.
Wideman with the snipe on the PK
Maroon on his first game: New coach, new system, new teammates, still the same game though. It was a fun game to be in, the pace was high and everyone was flying out there. On night's like this it just kinda catches you up in it, ya know?
All the energy out there, on the ice, on the bench the boys were pumped to play so it's hard not to go out there have do all you can for them, for your team to get a win"
"Paajarvi about being a Flame: It's a little weird being here, been a crazy few years for me but to end up in Calgary makes me smile a little about the Irony of it all.
I think I'm going to enjoy my time here, and the rivalries. I't's familiar to me for sure but different side of the line.
This is going to be great"
Mantha pounds home his first as a Flame
Mantha on his first point:
"It was great, had to skate as hard as i could to try and get into that play, Johnny sucked both defenders to his side then made a slick pass out to me, I was on my strong side and Fleury was respecting Johnny's shot.
Cant complain, that's for sure. Now I want to build on that"
