Anaheim Ducks- Set to Interview Craig Berube for Head Coach vacancy..

Yesterday the Vegas Golden Knights interviewed Bruce Cassidy and Berube. This morning the Knights went with Cassidy hiring him to be the next Head Coach on a 5 year Deal.

With Vegas now off the market, the Anaheim Ducks will get a chance to interview Craig Berube.

After Anaheim news broke that Boston and Edmonton may also be interested in interviewing Craig.

"I liked Vegas a lot but I understand the NHL is also a Business and Teams do business the best ways they can to help their Franchises. Congratulations to Bruce for getting that job and becoming the 2nd Head coach in Vegas Franchise history. That's amazing. I'm off to Anaheim now for an interview and I'm excited." Berube stated.

Anaheim General Manager Bob Murray has already interviewed Phil Housley.

Vancouver Canucks- Hire Ken Hitchcock as President of Hockey Operations..

Yesterday Ken Hitchcock was spotted in Vancouver meeting with Canucks Owner Francesco Aquilini for an unknown role.

This morning it's announced that Hitchcock was hired as the new President of Hockey Operations.

The 69-year-old who made a Career as a Head Coach with Teams like the Dallas Stars, Philadelphia Flyers, Columbus Blue Jackets and St. Louis Blues has now taken the step to help build a Hockey Club in Vancouver.

Hitchcock was the Stars Head Coach when Dallas won the Stanley Cup in 1999. He took Dallas back to the Cup Finals in 2000 losing to the New Jersey Devils.

"We had a long conversation yesterday and I was impressed with his attention to detail and his resume speaks for itself. He's at that age where he's not interested in Coaching, but he was really helpful to me when talking about how to get the Canucks back on track. I was really impressed with our conversation and he was very excited to come aboard as an Executive." Canucks Owner Francesco Aquilini stated.

"I know it seemed like a big secret yesterday when the news broke." Laughed Hitchcock. "No secret at all. I'm happy to be up here in the Executive Offices of the Rogers Arena. Me and Mr. Francesco Aquilini had a nice long conversation yesterday and we talked about my plans on rebuilding the Vancouver Canucks. This is a Franchise that has been in the dark cellars of the Pacific Division and missed the Playoffs for the past 5 years. I'm excited to get to work and start building a new direction and ERA for the great fans of the Canucks."

"As our new President of Hockey Operations and a proven Winner on the Ice, I'm thrilled and excited to name Ken Hitchcock to our Executive Offices and will allow him to oversee the Coaching Staff and Front Office. He will handpick our new Head Coach and General Manager." Francesco Aquilini stated.

New York missed the Playoffs both years with Trotz behind the Bench but in his defense, the former GM Lou Lamoriello didn't provide much help.

Now the soon to be 58-year-old, Trotz will take over as new General Manager for the Isles.

"It was time to step away." Trotz said. "I loved Coaching but with another year on the horizon and another Season gone it just got to me. I'm excited to be the General Manager here in New York." Trotz stated.
