I think things have just slowed down. I haven’t seen many nfl redesigns in a long time, I haven’t worked on anything in months.

Save the numbers 0-9 without an alpha channel and without a background and save them as .png. Go to the array file in frosty and import all the numbers. These will look fine up close but as the camera zooms out the number will become thinner and thinner.

I just took a look at the array helper, and.... damn! That is pretty slick I have to say. How in the world can it "know" where the edges of the numbers are to put the stitching if you can just choose any font? That's wicked!

I have to get used to that but I'd like to know how to apply multiple borders or "split" borders like you see on the Cowboys dark uniforms.


One more question: I have some number sets that I've built myself in .bmp format (see my avatar). Is it possible to import those or am I limited to Windows fonts? I can't find anything that gives the block numbering. Or would I have to make a new 512x512, save it as dds using the formats they specify, and THEN use the array builder?

You can make any numbers you want and yes save all as 512 x 512. So 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 all as separate files. Bring them in the array helper file and click the create_array file and follow the intructions and it will probably say it failed but the file it creates will be good.

Hey my experience is all you have to do is use the Frosty editor, find the number array col file (it will list each number, then after them will be a number array file), double click on it, import, and then highlight your numbers 0 through 9 (in that order) and import them.

Also remember, lettering still has to follow a number sequence too, otherwise you'll end up with names that look like a Cyrillic alphabet.
