It seems to me that the CPU QB always puts up 300-500 yards on you and completes 80%+ of their passes. Does this lack of realism bother you or do you think it's necessary/unable to be improved upon.

That is an interesting question and GREAT ONE TOO, IT can be answered in many ways. But, first what sets are you using?

Last two games I held the cpu under 200 yds, passing would not allow the deep ball, just gave them underneath and held cpu to 17 pts & 7 pts the second game.

I am aware of this though, and like I said it can be viewed and answered in many ways.

What I have found has been Man defense will be shredded most times and they will put up a lot of points as well, but for me I like the challenge in figuring out how to stop cpu, I think I have mastered that the last two games and am starting to get bored with dominating cpu.


Keep in mind that I have used all the base sliders from 1 to 3 for each category and mixed and matched, I had a time where I LOST 8 GAMES STRAIGHT WITH MY SETS, SO IT JUST TAKES TIME TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO STOP THE CPU WITH THAT EXACT SET, BUT IT CAN BE DONE, JUST LIKE REALLY FOOTBALL HAVING TO SCHEME AGAINST GREAT TEAMS.
What I will be doing is using base slider set 3 for CPU defense moving forward because I am at that level of play. But, keep in mind, you have to find a defense to stop the 300 yds to 500 yds a game and it is there, I found it. Yes, it took me 3 weeks or so but I have found it.

Review my stats on full season last year we were ranked 27th in league I believe overall defense and with 13 minute qtrs, I do find my sliders realistic.

So far as the 80% passing it can be broken down in a lot of different ways. Since I have found ways to hold CPU to 150 to 200 yds a game now and feel I am getting bored with human base slider set 2 on defense. I am going to go to base slider set 3. But with me only allowing underneath passing and dominating TOP last few games, means I have been creating 3 and outs, punts and yes lots of turnover 6 Ints. Last two games. When I went from human base slider set 1 to 2 I did not get any INT for like 3 or 4 games.

For you though, you could figure out how to stop the cpu from getting 300-500 yds against you by finding that scheme or adjust out your human defense base slider set to 26/6/76, try that for a few game get a feel for it. But IMPO I would try to ultimately figure out how to slow them down with your defense scheme and make it harder on yourself once you do. But, it is your game that needs to feel right for you, not me. Just trying to help you achieve realistic play for you.

I am not sure what your exact settings are it could be in there or you may need to adjust as I am. But you can stop the CPU from have 300 to 500 yds passing; it’s in your coverage game for sure. I would just keep playing with zone coverage and blitz out of sub packages for example and find plays to slow down the CPU I have done it.

Let me know how I can help you in that area of your game. I feel game is playing realistic for me I would get very bored if I could stop cpu, look at the stats I have posted how equal the TOP has been. Once that become one sided in your favor, than you need go to the next base slider for that area of the game.

Post some of your stats and I will help you with your defense scheme or help you adjust out your sliders set for the area you might be struggling with, might be frustrated with or dominating.

some things seem unrealistic to me in my season. first of all the penalties. I have by far the fewest in the league. secondly my qb acc 7 has throws in each game over 400 yds. (Nick foles) thirdly my run defense is really bad. fourthly, I catch absolutely no interceptions. not even the lightest interceptions. so all is well but these things are just important in the game and I can not find any solution even if I play on base set 3 I catch still less interceptions. that actually does not work because I do not catch. I play exactly according to your settings and sliders.

Yes, penalties are low, but the overall effect adjust them out effects the game way too much IMP, its something that still needs to be looked at. I am personally ok with this because you have to give something to gain more better play with the game. I will be looking more into this over this season as well.

For me the game is playing very well for the most part that does not mean some areas can not be improved.

Not sure if you have seen the stats I have posted for some games and the full season stats as well?

Your QB ACC @ & 7, are you passing for 400 yds and winning every game? SETTING CPU D @ 50/25/57 AND HUMAN QB @ 4-5 ON ACCURACY MAKE IT MORE DIFFIFULT ON YOUR PASSING YDS


Your Run Defense is bad, mine was too but what I found I was improving my play calling going into my 3rd season and started shutting down the run with zone cover scheme out of sub package control run game very well. I was able to take away outside run plays or off tackle plays springing for huge yardage. I still give up few yards up the middle at times but adjust as needed to control run game much better. I am off to a good start last 3 games. Much better than last year. Seems when I am in MAN DEFENSE I GET SHREADED IF I PLAY IT ALL GAME LONG. Help me with this, TRY USING MORE ZONE DEFENSE PLAYS. I think we were middle of the road on rushing yards given up last year, AND GOT SHREADED AT TIMES.

IT WAS WHAT KEPT ME PLAYING THOUGH.

I want the CPU to run on me, I like when CPU backs run between 100 to 200 yds on me, keeps me playing the game. I don't want to dominate in the entire game with total control in every area.

I FELT IT WAS A BIT TOO MUCH SO I TURN IT DOWN HUMAN PASS DEFENSE TO 20/5/73 AND DID NOT GET ANY PICKS FOR 2 OR 3 GAMES, A LOT OF BATTED BALLS,

SO I MADE ONE SMALL ASJUSTMENT AND HAVE 7 INTS IN LAST 3 GAME.

WHEN I START GETTING LIT UP BY CPU PASSING I SWITCH TO SUB 1-4-6 AND RUN A SEAM ZONE PLAY BLITZ ROLB AND A CB AND WAS GETTING FEW SACKS FROM OUTSIDE PER GAME OR GET A DT IN TO PRESSURE QB TO THROW MORE POORLY AND WAS PRODUCING INT AND 3 N OUTS. THIS WILL ALSO HOLD RB TO UNDER 12O YDS A GAME AS WELL AGAINST CPU, GOOD OVERALL PASS AND RUN D, I DO ADjUST OUT MOVE PLAYERS UP SOME TIMES OR LEAVE AS IS.

NOW I am getting bored with holding cpu to 17 pts and 7 past two games so I am testing more sliders to make it more difficult to stop cpu I want them to run for over 100 on me and pass for over 300 so I can continue figuring ways to make the game better for everyone as I advance in more knowledge of different levels of play with different sliders.

Yes, it is a lot of detail information in between the base sets.

Are you needing human and cpu sliders sets 2 & 3 for both?

Have you used the base sliders 1 yet?

I started with base slider set 1, than I moved to base slider set 2. Now, I use a combination between all 3.

each discussed and no solution. I have now for two months tried to find realistic sliders. unfortunately I was not successful. I have written 3 emails to ea sports but there was as expected no answer. I'm tired ... either one throws only interceptions and otherwise is the game good or throwing no interceptions and the game is far too easy and you win every game. something I have never seen ... this game makes me nervous finished .
