I hope for everyone’s sake who purchased this game on release day they address this issue with the initial patch. I could understand how frustrating this could be. Especially if you like to play franchise whether it’s offline or not.

This looked like one of those games that the Lions just couldn't put away. After jumping out to a 14-0 lead, they allowed the Washington Commanders to hang around, eventually pulling to within 7 points early in the 4th quarter. An all too familiar thing for Lions fans. But this time, the Lions put the game away.

They are learning. And Fans are starting to see that, maybe, just maybe, this isn't the "same 'ol Lions.

The Lions jumped out to a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter, on a pair of Jared Goff touchdown passes. The first to D.J. Chark, and the second to T.J. Hockenson. But, the offense sort of sputtered along after that.

Fortunately, the Defense was outstanding yet again, holding Washington to just a field goal through three quarters. The Lions led 17-3 heading into the 4th.

Washington cut it to a one score game at 17-10, on a 3 yard pass from Carson Wentz to tight end Logan Thomas. You could quietly hear fans at Ford Field muttering "here we go again"

But the Lions grabbed the game by throat, and took over, driving down the field, capping off a 75 yard drive with a 3 yard touchdown run by Jamaal Williams. Then the defense slammed the door on the game, when rookie linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez punched the ball loose from Antonio Gibson, and Amani Oruwariye picked it up and returned it 75 yards for a touchdown, icing the game.

D'Andre Swift led the way for the Lions with 100 yards on 22 carries. Williams added 51 yards on 8 carries.

Jared Goff was solid again, going 19/25 for 138 yards and two touchdowns.

Alex Anzalone had 11 tackles for the defense. Tracy Walker had an interception. Rookie Aiden Hutchinson had a pair of sacks.

The Lions head to Minnesota next week to face the 0-2 Vikings. Minnesota lost to the Eagles last week 17-10. The Vikings have scored just 10 points total in the first 2 games of the season.

Oh yeah, I know, but zero shot he's my long term answer. In fact, I may trade him for a 1 or 2 if I can get it. I am not trying to win this year. 0-17 would be perfect

Anyone else noticing the game randomly rearranging your Depth Chart? It happened to me on the advance from Preseason to Wk1 and it's happened again a couple times during the season. Not sure if it's tied into guys getting ratings increases or what, but it's really getting on my nerves and would love to know a fix for it. I'm on Xbox Series X/Online CFM.

1-0 with the Falcons after a pretty convincing victory over NO in WK1.

I'm starting Mariota till we get Ridder trained up and provide him with a better supporting cast.

We got a great performance out of Patterson, who broke a long TD run and caught several passes out of the backfield, and the defense also did some impressive work, contributing multiple picks and a few forced fumbles. Richie Grant notched a pick six.

Ebiketie showed up with a half-sack and a TFL, which was great to see, and we also got a great showing from Troy Anderson in mop-up time. He notched several tackles and a couple splash plays, which bodes well for his future.

I'll be moving up from AP default to AM default for the Rams game, so I'll be interested too see how things look at that level and to see what the Rams defense has in store!

On a side note, I find Arthur Smith's PB in the game a bit basic. I may have to look around and see if there are other offensive books within the same family tree that are a little more robust...

This usually comes from injuries or players being cut or signed.

I find the difference from AP to AM quite a big leap. Going to be tough with Atlanta. Look forward to reading more. Keep us updated!
