Madden 24 Rumors: A Little Too Quiet...

Rumor has it the NFL is dropping EA, and EA is going to to replace Madden with a USFL/XFL combined game. It's so new of a rumor, this is the first anyone is hearing of it. On a more serious note, I wonder if we will see anything new in M24 college-wise as a sort of preview of what we can expect when Madden 25 and EA CFB are out together. In regards to importing draft classes out of CFB and into Madden, or anything similar in that aspect. I know there isn't much EA can do with it in 24, but maybe we can still get a little teaser taste.

Speaking of Madden 25, what will that game actually be called...seeing as though there is already a Madden 25 game?

EA no longer sells or offers support for Madden 25 on 360 / PS3 / XB1 / PS4. The game is no longer available for purchase on first-party digital storefronts and is no longer offered by EA PLAY. This has been the case for several years.

To that end, I’m pretty sure they can call next year’s PS5 / XSX / PC football game Madden 25 and no reasonable person will get confused about what is the latest Madden game that year.

It’s also entirely possible they lean in to the bad convention breaking and name it Madden 35, who knows!

Madden 2025 seems more reasonable.

The Beta should drop next Thursday/Friday? They may not drop any news until after the Beta window is closed. That would be a little unusual; but maybe it'll be one of those actions speak louder than words type deal.

I'm trying to keep my expectation in check this year with the beta because if it's good, expectations rise and we set ourselves up for what happened last year where we get duped by the world's worst servers and can't play franchise for the first 4 months or some other random bug they invent this year. Last year's beta was a ton of fun. Gameplay in the real game was fun. Even franchise was a ton of fun during EA Play. It was that first weekend after official release when they introduced the desync glitch and it was all off the rails after that. Hard to trust these guys but hard not to get excited when it's the only game in town.
